Pedobacter cryoconitis is a species of bacteria. It is facultatively psychrophilic, Gram-negative, aerobic and rod-shaped strain, having been first isolated from alpine glacier cryoconite. It is also non-flagellated and non-spore-forming, with type strain A37T (=DSM 14825T =LMG 21415T). [1]
Glaciimonas is a genus of bacteria in the Oxalobacteraceae family. Its name comes from glaciers where it was first found and monad, a single cell. Glaciimonas = a cell from the glacier.
Glaciimonas immobilis is a psychrophilic, nonmotile, rod-shaped, Gram-negative bacterium of the genus Glaciimonas which was isolated from alpine glacier cryoconite. Phylogenetic analysis has shown it to belong to the family Oxalobacteraceae.
Polaromonas cryoconiti is a Gram-negative, psychrophilic bacterium from the genus Polaromonas, which was isolated from an alpine glacier.
Desulfuromusa ferrireducens is a species of psychrophilic, Fe(III)-reducing bacteria. It is Gram-negative, rod-shaped and motile. Its type strain is 102T.
Pedobacter arcticus is a species of facultative psychrophile bacteria isolated from Arctic soil. It is gram-negative, short rod-shaped and motile, with type strain A12(T). Its genome has been sequenced.
Pedobacter nyackensis is a species of Gram-negative, rod-shaped, non-spore-forming eubacterial species. Its type strain is.
Pedobacter alluvionis is a Gram-negative, rod-shaped, non-spore-forming eubacterial species. Its type strain is NWER-II11T.
Pedobacter borealis is a Gram-negative, rod-shaped, non-spore-forming eubacterial species. Its type strain is G-1T.
Pedobacter lentus is a species of Gram-negative, non-motile, pleomorphic bacteria. Its type strain is DS-40(T).
Pedobacter rhizosphaerae is a species of Gram-negative bacteria, first isolated from rhizosphere soil of Brassica campestris, hence its name. Its type strain is 01-96(T).
Cryobacterium psychrophilum is the type species of the bacterial genus Cryobacterium. It is an obligately psychrophilic, Gram-positive irregular rod-shaped actinomycete, with type strain JCM 1463.
Pedobacter is a genus of Gram-negative soil-associated bacteria. Species including Pedobacter heparinus, formerly known as Flavobacterium heparinum, produce heparinase and are capable of using heparin as their sole carbon and nitrogen source.
Devosia glacialis is a psychrophilic Gram-negative, aerobic, motile bacteria from the genus of Devosia with a polar flagella which was isolated from a glacier in the Hohe Tauern in Austria.
Devosia psychrophila is a psychrophilic, aerobic, Gram-negative, rod-shaped bacteria from the genus of Devosia which was isolated from the Pitztaler Jöchl glacier in the Oetztaler Alps in Tyrol in Austria.
Arthrobacter cryoconiti is a psychrophilic, Gram-positive, aerobic and non-motile bacterium species from the genus of Arthrobacter which has been isolated from cryoconite from the Banker glacier in the Ötztaler Alpen in Austria.
Methylobacterium organophilum is a facultatively methylotrophic bacteria from the genus of Methylobacterium which was isolated from sediments from the Lake Mendota in Madison in the United States. Methylobacterium organophilum can degrade methanol.
