Wisin & Yandel were a Puerto Rican reggaeton duo consisting of Wisin and Yandel. They started their career in 1998 and stayed together until 2023, winning several awards including a Grammy Award in 2009. They became the first and the only reggaeton artists to win one. In late 2013, they announced they would take a pause in their career as a duo, after their Líderes Tour. In a 2014 interview with People en Español, Yandel confirmed that the group would not be disbanding. In February 2018, following a five-year hiatus, the duo announced they would be reuniting, and are set to embark on a world tour, as well as release new music. They sold over 15 million records.

"Te Lo Agradezco, Pero No" is the second duet recorded by the two singers, following "La Tortura" for Shakira's album Fijación Oral Vol. 1 (2005). The song came about after she approached Sanz, telling him that she wanted to collaborate on something different from her own material.

It was composed by Queen, produced by Monserrate & DJ Urba, and released as the lead single off the album in January 2007. Lyrically, the song degrades the stereotype that men shouldn't cry and they are weak if they show emotions. The song gained positive to mixed reviews from critics, reaching the Top 10 of the Billboard Hot Latin Songs, Latin Rhythm Airplay, and Latin Tropical Airplay charts. A remix version with Tito "El Bambino", Naldo and Arcángel was also recorded and featured on the platinum edition of the album, after Sentimiento was certified Platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) on May 10, 2007, two months after the standard edition was released. Ivy Queen performed the song at Latin Grammy Awards of 2007. It was included on the set of her 2008 World Tour which was held from the José Miguel Agrelot Coliseum known as the Coliseum of Puerto Rico in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Ernesto Fidel Padilla Colón, known professionally as Nesty la Mente Maestra, is a Puerto Rican reggaeton record producer. He was closely associated with reggaeton duo Wisin & Yandel and reggaeton producer Víctor el Nasi.
The discography of Puerto Rican rapper, singer-songwriter and producer Daddy Yankee has released eight studio albums, two live albums, 112 singles, and one soundtrack. He made his debut on DJ Playero's Playero 34 mixtape, released in 1991. He was later featured on Playero's 37 and 38 albums, before releasing his first solo record in 1995, titled No Mercy. According to Yankee himself, "Prestige is best and most complete album". The album met with positive reviews and it receive a nomination for Best Urban Album at the 14th Annual Latin Grammy Awards and for Urban Album of the Year at the Lo Nuestro Awards of 2013.
