Peggy Garabekian (born on 27 December 1994) is an American-Armenian model, beauty titleholder, and active advocate for human rights who was crowned Miss Universe Armenia 2025 and now will represent Armenia at Miss Universe 2025. [1] [2] [3]
Garabekian was born on 27 December 1994 in Iran to Armenian parents and grew up in India. After living there for four years, her family relocated to the United States. [4]
In 2015, Garabekian participated in the Miss Asia USA competition held in the United States. She placed third and was awarded the title of Miss Congeniality and People's Choice awards. [5] [6] She later held the title of Miss Armenia for the Miss United Nations 2023 pageant. [7] [8]
In 2024, Garabekian was crowned Miss Pacific Coast USA, and subsequently competed at Miss California USA 2024. [7]
She was also appointed as an ambassador for Miss World America 2023, [9] during which she received the honorary titles of Miss Sunshine 2023 and Miss Hollywood 2024. [7] [10]
In 2025, she won the title of Miss Vizcaya Swimwear, becoming the first winner from the West Coast, including California, to earn the title. [7]
Garabekian was crowned Miss Universe Armenia 2025 and will represent her country at the upcoming Miss Universe pageant, to be held at Nonthaburi, Thailand on 21 November. [11] [12]
