Juha Pekka Leskinen (born 26 February 1954) [1] is a Finnish former competitive figure skater. He represented Finland at the 1976 Winter Olympics in Innsbruck and finished 13th overall. He won the Finnish national title three times (1970, 1971, 1975). [2]

Pekka Koskela Finnish speed skater

Pekka Koskela is a Finnish speed skater, specialising on the sprint distances 500 m and 1000 m. He is the former world record holder on the 1000 m with the time 1:07.00. In December 2001 he set a junior world record on the 500 m with the time 35.89. Since that time he has established himself as one of the best speed skating sprinters in the world. He won his first medal, a bronze, on the 1000 m in the 2005 World Single Distance Championships. Koskela was number 10 in the 500 m of the 2006 Winter Olympics.

The Finns took about 5,700 POWs during the Winter War, and due to the short length of the war they survived relatively well. Finland at the 2014 Winter Olympics

Finland competed at the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi, Russia from 7 to 23 February 2014. The Finnish team consisted of 103 competitors who participated in alpine skiing, biathlon, cross-country skiing, freestyle skiing, ice hockey, ski jumping, snowboarding and speed skating.

Kalle Kustaa Tuulos was a Finnish figure skater. Competing in single skating, he was an eight-time Finnish national champion (1949–56) representing Tampereen Luistelijat of Tampere. Sent to two Winter Olympics, Tuulos placed 13th in 1952 (Oslo) and 15th in 1956. He was the nephew of Vilho Tuulos.

Ragnar Wikström was a Finnish figure skater. As a singles skater, he was a two-time Nordic champion (1963–64) and a nine-time Finnish national champion, representing HSK. Wikström also competed in pair skating, becoming the 1962 national pairs champion with Eeva Sjögren.

Irja Ester Helena "Leena" Pietilä, married surname: Vainio was a Finnish figure skater. She was a two-time Nordic champion and a seven-time Finnish national champion.

Otto Leskinen is a Finnish professional ice hockey player currently playing with the Laval Rocket in the American Hockey League (AHL) as a prospect for the Montreal Canadiens of the National Hockey League (NHL). Prior to coming to North America, Leskinen played professional hockey in the Finnish league Liiga and Mestis.
