Pennepalli is a small village in Nayudupet Mandal (Gudur Taluk) of Nellore District in Andhra Pradesh, India.
Darwin Glacier is a large glacier flowing from the polar plateau eastward between the Darwin Mountains and the Cook Mountains to the Ross Ice Shelf. The lower part of the glacier was mapped by the British National Antarctic Expedition, 1901–04, and the whole area traversed by New Zealand parties of the Commonwealth Trans-Antarctic Expedition (1956–58). The glacier was named in association with the Darwin Mountains.

She was ordered on 21 November 1936 and laid down on 15 September 1938 at the yards of Friedrich Krupp Germaniawerft AG in Kiel as yard number 584. Launched on 24 June 1939, she was commissioned on 12 August and assigned to the 7th U-Boat Flotilla under the command of Kurt von Goßler.
Lionair Flight 602 was a Lionair Antonov An-24RV which fell into the sea off the north-western coast of Sri Lanka on 29 September 1998. The aircraft departed Jaffna Airport with 48 passengers and a crew of seven; it disappeared from radar screens ten minutes into the flight. Initial reports indicated that the plane had been shot down by Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam terrorists using a MANPADS, which has since been confirmed. All aboard were presumed killed.
