Release and promotion

"Where the Bag At" served as the mixtape's lead and only single, and was released on February 23, 2018. [3] The mixtape's lead and only single was later released to US rhythmic contemporary radio on October 9, 2018. [4]

The mixtape was released alongside a WorldStarHipHop-exclusive music videos for "Take Yo Man", [2] and "Tighten Up". Music videos for "Sweet Tooth", "Period (We Live)", "Millionaire Dick", "Not Ya Main" and "Careless" followed in August, September, and October, 2018, respectively. She gained a local, underground following with SoundCloud singles such as "iCarly" and "Hey Arnold". After gaining wider recognition with singles such as "Smack a Bitch" and "Poppin" in 2018, she signed to Atlantic Records where she released her sixth mixtape, Nasty (2018). This was followed by the collaborative mixtape Anger Management (2019) with long time associate Kenny Beats. Rico Nasty's debut studio album, Nightmare Vacation, was released in December 2020. Stokeley Clevon Goulbourne, known professionally as Ski Mask the Slump God, is an American rapper. He is best known for his association with XXXTentacion, with whom he formed the hip hop collective Members Only in 2014. Girl Code is the debut studio album by American hip hop duo City Girls, released on November 16, 2018, through Quality Control Music, Motown Records and Capitol Records. It was released six months after their first mixtape Period in May, and while member Jatavia Shakara "JT" Johnson was incarcerated for credit card fraud. The first single of the album, "Twerk" featuring Cardi B, became City Girls' first entry on the US Billboard Hot 100 after debuting at number 92; it has since peaked at number 29. The album's second and last single, "Act Up", reached the top 40 on the US Hot 100. It also reached the number one on Billboard's Rhythmic Songs chart in its July 6, 2019 issue. Eventually has peaked at number 26 on the Hot 100, making it the duo's highest charting entry.

Tysen Jay Bolding, known professionally as Money Man, is an American rapper from Atlanta, Georgia. His Kobe Bryant-inspired 2020 single, "24" peaked at number 49 on the Billboard Hot 100 and preceded his eighteenth mixtape, Epidemic (2020). His mixtape, Red Eye (2023) marked his highest charting entry on the Billboard 200.

City on Lock is the second studio album by American hip hop duo City Girls. The album leaked in its entirety on June 19, 2020, whereafter it was released on June 20 by Quality Control Music and Motown Records. It serves as the follow-up to their 2018 debut studio album Girl Code and features guest appearances from Yo Gotti, Doja Cat, Lil Durk and Lil Baby. The album's first single, "Jobs", was released hours before the album release alongside a music video.
