Perrott Hill is a co-educational day and boarding preparatory school located on the South Somerset-Dorset border. The 28 acre estate is located less than a mile east of nearby Crewkerne, being situated in the village of North Perrott. [1]
The main part of the school is located within North Perrott Manor House, including the main dining hall, boarding, staff, reception, medical and library facilities.
Throughout the school's history, various extensions have been added to the site. Notably, a west-wing extension was added in the 1960s, to house girls' boarding and languages. This block was extended in the 1970s and extensively refurbished and re-configured to include a new science and tinkerlab in 2017.
Auxiliary mixed-use classrooms were added on the west-side throughout the late 20th century alongside the creation of the pre-prep and nursery, situated in the converted stables.
A new sports hall and astro pitch were built within the first decade of the millennium, with the former extended to include new changing and viewing facilities in 2015.
A new eco-build music school was added in 2016, situated on the edge of the woods (housing the forest school). [2]
The site also includes a theatre (the original sports hall), tennis courts, two main playing fields (top and bottom field) and art loft. [3]
Pupils follow an independent curriculum to 11+. In years 7 & 8 pupils follow the ISEB Common Entrance syllabus for all major subjects. Some pupils may choose to sit academic scholarship examination papers for their chosen senior school, alongside Common Entrance.

St Joseph's Convent is a complex of 18th- and 19th-century buildings in Taunton, Somerset, which were primarily used as a Roman Catholic convent, first by the Franciscans, and then Sisters of St. Joseph of Annecy. The buildings were sold out of the Catholic church in 1976, and were redeveloped as residential flats in 2005. The main building is designated by English Heritage as a Grade II* listed building, while the boundary walls on the west side are Grade II listed.
North Perrott Manor House which later became Perrott Hill School in North Perrott, Somerset, England was built in 1877 by Thomas Henry Wyatt. It is a Grade II* listed building.
