Pete Maki (born July 29,1982) is an American professional baseball coach who is the pitching coach for the Minnesota Twins of Major League Baseball.
Maki graduated from Nonnewaug High School in Woodbury,Connecticut. [1] He enrolled at Franklin &Marshall College,where he played college baseball as a relief pitcher. He graduated in 2004. [2]
Maki served as the pitching coach for the New Haven Chargers for two years, [3] then coached for the Columbia Lions from 2008 to 2015,and became an assistant coach for the Duke Blue Devils in 2015. [4]
Maki joined the Minnesota Twins organization as their minor league pitching coordinator after the 2017 season. [2] The Twins promoted him to their major league coaching staff for the 2021 season. [5] On June 27,2022,Twins pitching coach Wes Johnson announced his departure from the team. The Twins announced that Maki will "play a major role" in fulfilling the pitching coach duties. [6] On July 1,2022,the Twins announced that Maki would be the full-time pitching coach for the remainder of the season. [7]

Frank John Viola Jr. is an American former starting pitcher in Major League Baseball who played for the Minnesota Twins (1982–1989),New York Mets (1989–1991),Boston Red Sox (1992–1994),Cincinnati Reds (1995),and Toronto Blue Jays (1996). A three-time All-Star,he was named World Series MVP with the Twins in 1987 and won the AL Cy Young Award in 1988. He is the pitching coach of the High Point Rockers.
Edward Adrian Guardado is a former Major League Baseball relief pitcher and current bullpen coach. Guardado played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the Minnesota Twins,Seattle Mariners (2004–2006),Cincinnati Reds (2006–2007),and the Texas Rangers. He was named as a bullpen coach for the Twins in 2014.
Damon Jamall Hollins is an American former professional baseball outfielder and current coach. Hollins played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the Atlanta Braves,Los Angeles Dodgers,and Tampa Bay Devil Rays. His only regular major league playing time was in Tampa Bay,where he manned all three outfield positions. He is currently the first base coach for the Kansas City Royals.
Frederick Wayne Honeycutt is an American former professional baseball coach and pitcher. Honeycutt pitched in Major League Baseball (MLB) for six different teams over 21 years,from 1977 to 1997. He pitched in 30 post-season games,including 20 League Championship Series games and seven World Series games,and never lost a game,going 3–0. Honeycutt gave up no runs in the 1988 and 1990 post-seasons,and was a member of the Oakland Athletics' 1989 World Series championship team. He was also the pitching coach for the Los Angeles Dodgers from 2006 through 2019.
Donald James Cooper is an American former Major League Baseball (MLB) pitcher who spent parts of four seasons with the Minnesota Twins (1981–1982),Toronto Blue Jays (1983) and New York Yankees (1985). He was the pitching coach for the Chicago White Sox from July 22,2002,until the end of the 2020 season. Under his tutelage,both Mark Buehrle and Philip Humber pitched perfect games,Lucas Giolito pitched a no-hitter,and the White Sox won the 2005 World Series. On October 12,2020,Cooper and the White Sox parted ways after 32 seasons with the organization at various levels.
Richard Arlen Anderson is an American former professional baseball pitcher and coach. He played for the New York Mets and Kansas City Royals of Major League Baseball (MLB) from 1986 to 1988. He served as the pitching coach for the Minnesota Twins and Detroit Tigers of MLB from 2002 to 2020.
