Following that,Zimmerer was assigned to posts in Brazil,Chile and Haiti before retiring and returning to Germany.

The Oktoberfest bombing was a far-right terrorist attack. On 26 September 1980,13 people were killed and more than 200 injured by the explosion of an improvised explosive device (IED) at the main entrance of the Oktoberfest festival in Munich,West Germany. The bombing was attributed to the right-wing extremist and geology student Gundolf Köhler,who was instantly killed in the attack as the bomb exploded prematurely.
Gustl Ferdinand Mollath is a German man who was acquitted during a criminal trial in 2006 on the basis of diminished criminal responsibility. He was committed to a high-security psychiatric hospital,as the court deemed him a danger to the public and declared him insane based on expert diagnoses of paranoid personality disorder. The judgment became the basis of controversy when elements of his supposed delusions regarding money-laundering activities at a major bank were found to be true. Mollath had consistently claimed there was a conspiracy to have him locked up in a psychiatric care ward because of his incriminating knowledge;evidence discovered in 2012 made his claims appear plausible.

On 9 February 2016,two Meridian-branded passenger trains collided head-on at Bad Aibling,Germany. Of approximately 150 people on board the two trains,12 people died and 85 others were injured,24 critically.
On 18 July 2016,Riaz Khan Ahmadzai,a 17-year-old refugee from Afghanistan,stabbed and injured five people on and outside a train near Würzburg,Germany. He was shot dead by police soon afterwards,after attacking a police tactical unit with an axe. Investigations revealed he was in contact with members of the Islamic State.

Josef Michael Hartinger was a German lawyer who worked for the Bavarian State authorities in the latter years of the Weimar Republic when the Nazis came to power. Tasked with investigating some unnatural deaths at the Dachau concentration camp near Munich,Hartinger together with his medical examiner colleague,Moritz Flamm,discovered the SS policy of summary executions and faked suicides at the camp. At great risk to his own safety,Hartinger issued an indictment of the camp authorities,which was ultimately betrayed and suppressed.

They are said to have armed themselves in a few months,conducted target practice and planned simultaneous assassinations of Muslims in mosques,prominent politicians and people close to anti-fascist movements.
