Phantom is the second studio album by French metalcore band Betraying the Martyrs. The album was released on 15 July 2014 through Sumerian Records. [1] It is the band's only album to feature drummer Mark Mironov.
The first song to be released from the album was "Where the World Ends", released on 28 May 2014. [2] The song was first performed live on 25 May in Lyon, France. [3] On 17 June, a lyric video for the second single, "Jigsaw", was released. [4]
"Let It Go" is a cover of the song from the 2013 film, Frozen . [5] The cover was critically acclaimed, with AllMusic contributor Gregory Heaney stating that the cover conveys the same emotion as the original (sung by Idina Menzel) while radically altering the delivery, adding that it "feels like a testament to both the versatility of metal and the universality of show tunes." [6] Heavy metal website MetalSucks labelled the cover as "truly exceptional" in an otherwise negative review of the album. [7] However, Under the Gun named the cover as their "least metal moment of the week" on 14 July. [8] The cover became one of the band's most popular songs and has accumulated 8.5 million views on YouTube, as of April 2022.
The song "Legends Never Die" is a tribute dedicated to late Suicide Silence vocalist Mitch Lucker, who agreed to appear on one of the album's tracks on 31 October but died a day later in an accident. [9]

August Burns Red is an American metalcore band from Lancaster, Pennsylvania, formed in 2003. The band's current lineup consists of lead guitarist John Benjamin "JB" Brubaker, rhythm guitarist Brent Rambler, drummer Matt Greiner, lead vocalist Jake Luhrs and bassist Dustin Davidson. The band was nominated for a Grammy Award in 2016 for Best Metal Performance for the song "Identity" from its 2015 release Found in Far Away Places, and again in 2018 for "Invisible Enemy" from Phantom Anthem (2017). The band has released ten studio albums to date; their latest, Death Below, was released on March 24, 2023.
For the Fallen Dreams, often abbreviated FTFD, is an American metalcore band from Lansing, Michigan, formed in 2003. The band originally signed to Rise Records but produced one album under Artery Recordings in 2012. After the departure of then vocalist Dylan Richter and the return of vocalist Chad Ruhlig in 2013, the band started producing music under Rise Records once again until 2022.

Through their previous label, Sumerian Records, Betraying the Martyrs have released four studio albums: Breathe in Life (2011), Phantom (2014), The Resilient (2017), and Rapture (2019). They've also released two EPs: The Hurt the Divine the Light (2009) and Silver Lining (2022).
The Contortionist is an American progressive metal band from Indianapolis, Indiana. Formed in 2007, the band consists of guitarists Robby Baca and Cameron Maynard, drummer Joey Baca, vocalist Mike Lessard, bassist Jordan Eberhardt, and keyboardist Eric Guenther. They have released four studio albums and three EPs. The band signed with eOne Music and Good Fight Entertainment in early 2010.
Awakened is the sixth studio album by the American metalcore band As I Lay Dying. It is the final album released by the band before their hiatus in 2014. The album was released on September 25, 2012, through Metal Blade Records. The album was produced by Bill Stevenson and recorded at The Blasting Room in Fort Collins, Colorado and Lambesis Studios in San Diego, California. On June 22, 2012, the album title, release date, and first single were announced. On June 25, the first single "Cauterize" was released for free download and became available online for purchase the following day. On June 27, a lyric video for "Cauterize" was released along with album artwork, also the band created an event on Facebook inviting fans to participate in a music video shoot for "A Greater Foundation". Fans were able to pre-order a copy on the Rockstar Mayhem Festival tour of 2012.
Rescue & Restore is the sixth studio album by American metalcore band August Burns Red. It was released on June 25, 2013, through Solid State Records and was produced by Carson Slovak and Grant McFarland. The album peaked at No. 9 on the Billboard 200 and No. 2 on the Billboard Top Christian Album chart, losing the No. 1 spot to Skillet's album Rise, which was released on the same day. It is the last August Burns Red album to be released through Solid State before the band moved to Fearless Records.
Crown of Phantoms is the seventh and final studio album by American metal band Chimaira. It was released on July 30, 2013, via record label E1 Music. It is the first and only Chimaira album to feature Austin D'Amond, Jeremy Creamer, Sean Zatorsky, Emil Werstler, and Matt Szlachta, who all joined the band during 2011 and 2012 and left the band in September 2014.

Killer Be Killed is an American heavy metal supergroup founded by Dillinger Escape Plan vocalist Greg Puciato and Soulfly frontman Max Cavalera in early 2011. The lineup also features Mastodon bassist and co-vocalist Troy Sanders and Converge drummer Ben Koller. The band had slowly been working on material before announcing its name in October 2013, along with their signing to Nuclear Blast. The group's self-titled debut record was released on May 13, 2014. On September 4, 2020, the group returned with a new single, and released their second album Reluctant Hero on November 20, 2020.
Thy Will Be Done is an American heavy metal band formed in 2005 from Providence, Rhode Island. The ensemble has released the studio albums Was and Is to Come and In Ancient of Days via Stillborn Records, as well as the EP Temple via Eye.On Lion Recordings. Since the release of Temple, the band has recorded two cover songs: 'Emerald' by Thin Lizzy and 'March of the Pigs' by Nine Inch Nails, as well as released two singles, 'Breath of Light' and 'Last Ghost to Kill'.

Chimaira is an American heavy metal band from Cleveland, Ohio. Formed in August 1998, the group was a member of the New Wave of American Heavy Metal scene. The band's name is derived from the word Chimera, a monstrous creature in Greek mythology. Throughout its history, the band had numerous line-up changes, leaving vocalist Mark Hunter as the only constant member. The band dissolved in 2014, but announced a one-off reunion in late 2017 wherein most of the group's longtime members rejoined.
Invent Animate is an American progressive metalcore band from Port Neches, Texas. The band formed in late 2011 and self-released their debut EP titled Waves on March 13, 2012. After a number of regional tours and increasing popularity in the online djent community, the band was signed up by Tragic Hero Records in February 2014. The band announced they would release their debut full-length record titled Everchanger on August 26, 2014. Their sophomore album Stillworld was released on July 8, 2016.
