Stark County is a county located in the northeastern part of U.S. state of Ohio. As of the 2020 census,the population was 374,853. Its county seat is Canton. The county was created in 1808 and organized the next year. It is named for John Stark,an officer in the American Revolutionary War.

Stark Area Regional Transit Authority (SARTA) is a public sector transit agency servicing Stark County,Ohio. Thurman Munson Memorial Stadium is a stadium in Canton,Ohio,United States,primarily used for baseball. The facility is named after former Major League Baseball player Thurman Munson,who grew up in Canton. Munson was a catcher for the New York Yankees who was killed when his private plane was attempting to land at Akron–Canton Airport in Summit County on August 2,1979. Munson's number 15 is displayed on the center field wall. Originally built as the home of the minor league Canton–Akron Indians,it has since hosted other minor league teams,as well has college,high school,and amateur baseball.

The Repository is the oldest continuously run business in Stark County,the oldest continuously published newspaper in Ohio and the 11th oldest in the U.S.
Joshua Aaron Mandel is an American politician who served as the 48th treasurer of Ohio from 2011 to 2019. A member of the Republican Party,he previously was the Ohio State Representative for the 17th district from 2007 to 2011. He was the unsuccessful Republican challenger to Democratic incumbent Sherrod Brown in the 2012 U.S. Senate election.

Incumbent Republican governor Mike DeWine won re-election to a second term in a landslide,defeating Democratic nominee Nan Whaley,the former mayor of Dayton,with 62.4% of the vote. DeWine's 25-point victory marked the continuation of a trend in which every incumbent Republican governor of Ohio since 1994 has won re-election by a double-digit margin.
Minerva Monster is a 2015 American documentary film written and directed by Seth Breedlove,about the purported sightings of an alleged Bigfoot-like creature around the town of Minerva,in Paris Township,Stark County,Ohio,in 1978. The first in a series of cryptid-related documentaries produced by Breedlove's production company Small Town Monsters,the film features interviews with law enforcement,media officials,and supposed witnesses of the titular creature.
