Philip C. H. Chan was the Deputy President and Provost of the Hong Kong Polytechnic University (HKPU),who is currently Emeritus Professor of Electrical and Electronic Engineering. [1]
Before joining PolyU on 1 March 2010 he had been Chair Professor of the Department of Electronic and Computer Engineering at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology since 1991,the year he entered the university as a founding member. [2] [3]
After Professor Timonthy Tong finished his term as HKPU President,he was appointed as interim President from 1 January 2019 to 30 June 2019. In 1 July,Professor Jin-Guang Teng assumed his post as President. Professor Chan continues to serve as Provost and Deputy President until 29 February 2020,and retired from HKPU.

Alan Kin-tak Lau is an engineer and academic based in Hong Kong SAR. He is the President and Chair Professor of Product Innovation at Technological and Higher Education Institute (Thei) of Hong Kong. Prior to this appointment,he was Pro Vice-Chancellor at Swinburne University of Technology. He is also the Independent Non-Executive Director of King’s Flair International (Holdings) Limited,the International Vice President and Trustee Board member of The Institution of Mechanical Engineers (2014-2019) and an Academic Advisor at Asia University. He was also appointed the Chair of professional accreditation panel for APEC/IPEA for Korea. From 2014 to 2016,he was the Alex Wong/Gigi Wong Endowed Professor in Product Engineering Design at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University (HPKU). Currently,he is a Fellow of European Academy of Sciences and Arts,the European Academy of Sciences. Lau has conducted research in the field of Mechanical Engineering,Aerospace Engineering and Materials Engineering. His work has been focused on aerospace composites,Unmanned aerial vehicle,product design and engineering and bio-composites. Lau is recognized as Australian National Research Leader in Composite Materials 2019,published by The Australian Post. Within the period 2020-2022,he was Director of Oceania Cybersecurity Centre Limited and Stawell Underground Physics Laboratory Company.
Teng Jin-guang is a Chinese scientist and educator,currently serving as the president of the Hong Kong Polytechnic University since July 1,2019. Previously he served as the vice-president of Southern University of Science and Technology.

She joined Ohio State University in December 2020 as executive vice president for research,innovation,and knowledge enterprise.
Alexander Wai Ping-kong is a former Deputy President and Provost of the Hong Kong Polytechnic University,who served from 1 March 2020. He had served the Hong Kong Polytechnic University for over 20 years since 1996. He assumed the position of President and Vice-Chancellor of the Hong Kong Baptist University on 1 February 2021.
The PolyU Faculty of Construction and Environment is one of the faculty at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University. The faculty consists of the Department of Building and Real Estate,Department of Building Services Engineering,Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering,and Department of Land Surveying and Geo-Informatics.
