Phisqa Quta (Aymara phisqa five, quta lake, [2] "five lakes'", also spelled Pesca Kkota) is a mountain in the eastern extensions of the Cordillera Real in the Andes of Bolivia which reaches a height of approximately 4,720 m (15,490 ft). It is situated in the La Paz Department, Murillo Province, La Paz Municipality. Phisqa Quta lies southeast of Janq'u K'ark'a and Sankayuni. [1] [3]

Aymara language native language in South America

Aymara is an Aymaran language spoken by the Aymara people of the Andes. It is one of only a handful of Native American languages with over one million speakers. Aymara, along with Spanish, is one of the official languages of Bolivia and parts of Peru. It is also spoken, to a much lesser extent, by some communities in northern Chile, where it is a recognized minority language.

Cordillera Real (Bolivia) mountain range

The Cordillera Real is a mountain range in the South American Altiplano of Bolivia. This range of fold mountains, largely composed of granite, is located southeast of Lake Titicaca, and east of the Bolivian capital of La Paz, measuring 125 km in length and 20 km in width. Despite the fact that it is only 17° south of the Equator, the Cordillera Real is relatively densely glaciated. This is due to its proximity to the Amazon lowlands with its associated moist air masses.

The Andes or Andean Mountains are the longest continental mountain range in the world, forming a continuous highland along the western edge of South America. This range is about 7,000 km (4,300 mi) long, about 200 to 700 km wide, and of an average height of about 4,000 m (13,000 ft). The Andes extend from north to south through seven South American countries: Venezuela, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, Bolivia, Chile and Argentina.

The little lake north-east of Janq'u Quta is named Pata Quta (Pata Khota).

Laram Quta (El Alto)

Laram Quta is a lake in Bolivia located in the La Paz Department, Pedro Domingo Murillo Province, El Alto Municipality. It lies south of the mountain Chacaltaya, south-east of Milluni Lake, south-west of the Qillwani Lakes and north-west of Qillwani (Khelluani). Laram Quta is situated at a height of about 4,556 metres (14,948 ft), about 0,5 km long and 0,17 km at its widest point.

Laram Quta (La Paz)

Laram Quta is a lake in the Cordillera Real in the Andes of Bolivia. It is situated in the La Paz Department, Pedro Domingo Murillo Province, La Paz Municipality, La Paz Canton. It lies south-west of the lake Pata Larama. The wetlands of this area are also known as Pampa Larama (Pampalarama, Pamparalama). This is where the Qaluyu River (Kaluyo) originates which downstream is called Achachi Qala and Choqueyapu River.

Janq'u Quta is a lake in the Cordillera Real in the Andes of Bolivia. It is located in the La Paz Department, Larecaja Province, in the south-west of the Guanay Municipality. Janq'u Quta lies near the mountain Ch'iyar Juqhu.

Warus Quta is a lake in the Kimsa Cruz mountain range in the Andes of Bolivia. It is situated in the La Paz Department, Loayza Province, Cairoma Municipality. Warus Quta lies between the mountains Taruja Umaña in the west and Mama Uqllu in the east. The river Taruj Umaña originates near the lake. It flows to the west and then to the north-west as an affluent of the La Paz River.

Chillwa Quta is a lake in the Kimsa Cruz mountain range in the Andes of Bolivia. It is situated in the La Paz Department, Loayza Province, Cairoma Municipality. Chillwa Quta lies south-west of the mountain Mama Uqllu, south of the lake Warus Quta and south-east of the mountain Taruja Umaña. This is where the river Taruj Umaña originates. It flows to the west and then to the north-west as an affluent of the La Paz River.

Janqu Quta (Inquisivi)

Janq'u Quta is a 5,090-metre (16,699 ft) mountain in the Kimsa Cruz mountain range in the Andes of Bolivia. It is situated in the La Paz Department, Inquisivi Province, Quime Municipality. Janq'u Quta lies south-east of the mountain Mama Uqllu.

Ch'uxña Quta is a lake in the La Paz Department in Bolivia. It is situated in the Murillo Province, Palca Municipality. Ch'uxña Quta lies northeast of the mountain Tata Ch'iyar Qullu.

Laram Quta is a lake in the Cordillera Real in the Andes of Bolivia. It is located in the La Paz Department, Sud Yungas Province, Irupana Municipality. It lies south of the mountain Mururata. Laram Quta is situated south-west of the lakes Artisa Pata (Arteza Pata) and Artisa Quta (Arteza Kkota). The lakes north-west of it are named Qillwa Quta and Ch'iyar Quta which is the small one next to Laram Quta.
