"No Limit" is a song recorded by Belgian/Dutch Eurodance group 2 Unlimited, released in January 1993 by Byte, ZYX and PWL. It was their fifth single in total and the first to be released from their second album, No Limits! (1993). Co-written by the group's Ray Slijngaard and Anita Dels, the song became one of their most commercially successful singles, especially in Europe, reaching the number-one spot in 35 countries and the top 10 in several others. Like previous releases, the UK version of the single removed all of the raps from Slijngaard, leaving just Dels' vocals. One word from the rap was kept, the word 'Techno' which was looped and repeated during the middle of the song, turning the line into "Techno! Techno! Techno! Techno!" and giving the song an extra vocal hook. Its accompanying music video was directed by Nick Burgess-Jones and received heavy rotation on MTV Europe.
"Close to You" is a song by English reggae singer Maxi Priest. It was released in 1990 as the lead single from his fifth album Bonafide (1990). "Close to You" reached number one on the US Billboard Hot 100, number two on the Australian ARIA Singles Chart, and number seven on the UK Singles Chart.
"Mr. Vain" is a song by German musical group Culture Beat, released in April 1993 by Dance Pool as the lead single from the group's second studio album, Serenity (1993). The song was written by Steven Levis, Nosie Katzmann and Jay Supreme, and produced by Torsten Fenslau. Tania Evans is the lead vocalist and Supreme is the rapper. The female part of the lyrics describes the narcissist title character Mr. Vain, while the rap embodies his selfish desires.
"All I Want" is a song recorded by the German musician known under the pseudonym of Captain Hollywood Project, released in May 1993 by labels Blow Up and Intercord as the third single from his debut album, Love Is Not Sex (1993). The song features vocals by Petra Spiegl and was co-written by Nosie Katzmann and Tony Dawson-Harrison. It was a hit in several countries, but achieved a minor success in comparison with the project's two previous singles, "More and More" and "Only with You". The single peaked at number two in Portugal and on the Canadian RPM Dance/Urban chart, and number 22 on the Eurochart Hot 100.
"Anything" is a song recorded by German Eurodance group Culture Beat, released in December 1993 by Dance Pool as the third single from the group's second album, Serenity (1993). Written by Nosie Katzmann with Jay Supreme, Torsten Fenslau and Peter Zweie, the song was very successful on the charts in Europe. It reached the top five in at least nine countries, including Belgium, France, Germany, Spain and the United Kingdom. The song's music video was directed by Matt Broadley and filmed in London.
"Inside Out" is a song recorded by German Eurodance band Culture Beat, released in November 1995 as the first single from their third studio album, Inside Out (1995). As for other Culture Beat singles, a CD maxi entirely composed of remixes was added among the available media a short time after. The song was a hit in most of the European countries where it was released, and peaked at number five in Germany, its highest position in the various charts. Outside Europe, it peaked at number two on the RPM dance music chart in Canada and number 15 on the Billboard Hot Dance Club Play chart in the US.
"My Heart Goes Boom (La Di Da Da)" is a song by German dance-pop act French Affair. It was released in January 2000 as the lead single from their debut album, Desire (2000). The song became a hit worldwide, topping the charts of Germany and Austria and reaching the top five in Denmark, France, Italy, Spain, and Switzerland. Although the song is mostly sung in English, it contains a verse in French.
"Love Sees No Colour" is a song recorded by German act U96. It was released in May 1993 as the first single off its second album, Replugged (1993), on which it appears as second track. It added sung male vocals, which was also going to be one of the distinctive marks of the project. The words contained in the title are the only lyrics of the song. It achieved success in many countries, including Austria, Denmark, Finland, Germany, Spain, Sweden and Switzerland where it reached the top 10. On the Eurochart Hot 100, "Love Sees No Colour" peaked at number 10. German band Bass Bumpers participated in several remixes of the song. In a strange way, the song is looking like track Living on Video (1983) from Quebec's group Trans-X.
"Pinocchio" is a 1972 instrumental composed by Fiorenzo Carpi for the soundtrack of Luigi Comencini's miniseries The Adventures of Pinocchio. In 1993, it was successfully covered by Eurodance music group Pin-Occhio which make it a number one hit in Belgium, and a top ten hit in Italy, France and the Netherlands. At the same time, it was also covered by Pepeto which was a top ten hit in Spain. In 2005, a massive hit was recorded by Pinocchio, an animated character, under the title "T'es pas cap Pinocchio".
"Club Bizarre" is the single performed by the German musical project U96, created by record producer Alex Christensen. The song was released in February 1995 and is the second track from the album of the same name.
"Sex on the Phone" is a song recorded by German eurodance project E-Rotic. It was released in June 1995 as the third single from their debut album Sex Affairs. As the title suggests it, the main theme of the song is phone sex. The single reached number six in the German Singles Chart and was ranked for 14 weeks. It was also a hit in Austria where it reached number two and totaled 14 weeks in the top 30. In other European countries, it achieved a minor success, failing the top 20 in most of them. The song was later included on E-Rotic's compilations Greatest Tits and Dancemania presents E-ROTIC Megamix.
"Sweet Thing" is a song recorded by English singer-songwriter Mick Jagger who also wrote it. It was the first single from his third solo album, Wandering Spirit (1993), and was released in January 1993 by Atlantic Records. It was produced by Jagger with Rick Rubin, and became a top-ten hit in Austria, France, Norway and Switzerland. In the United States, it peaked at number 84 on the Billboard Hot 100.
"Is It Love" is a song by Dutch Eurodance group Twenty 4 Seven, released in November 1993, as the fourth single from their second studio album, Slave To The Music (1993). It was the first up-tempo song written by Ruud van Rijen and scored success on the charts in Europe, peaking at number five in Germany. The chorus is sung by Nancy Coolen while the rap parts are performed by Stay-C. Maria Jimenez from Music & Media described "Is It Love" as a "sugar-coated highly commercial track".
"Let This Feeling" is a song by Dutch TV host, singer and MTV VJ Simone Angel, who also co-wrote it. Produced by Italian Eurodance act Cappella, it was released in 1993 by A&M Records and became a European hit, peaking at number three in Finland, number 15 in Switzerland and number 17 in Austria. On the Eurochart Hot 100, the song reached number 51 in January 1994. Outside Europe, "Let This Feeling" was successful in Israel, peaking at number eight. The music video for the song was directed by Scottish director Matthew Glamorre. It features Simone dancing in a silver flashing kaleidoscope thing and flying on a pegasus sculpture. The sculpture was made by English sculptor, performance artist, jewellery-maker, and portraitist Andrew Logan.
"I Show You Secrets" is a song by German Eurodance act Pharao, which consisted of Indian/German singer Kyra Pharao and American rapper Deon Blue. It was released in 1994 by Dance Pool as the first single from the act's debut album, Pharao (1994), and was well received among music critics, hitting success in many European countries. The song was written by Stevie Steve and Alexander Hawking with Deon Thomas and Tomcat, and produced by Steve and Hawking. It was a top 10 hit in Austria, Finland, Germany, Israel and Switzerland. The music video for "I Show You Secrets" was directed by John Clayton and received A-list rotation on Germany's VIVA.
"Baby Boy" is a song recorded by Danish Eurodance act and sisters Me & My, released in December 1995 by EMI as the second single from the act's eponymous album (1995). Co-written by the Georgi sisters, the song enjoyed moderate success in many European countries, reaching number-one in both Denmark and Hungary. Additionally, it peaked at number three in Finland, number 10 in Belgium and number 30 in Austria. On the Eurochart Hot 100, the song reached number 60 in March 1996. The accompanying music video for "Baby Boy" was directed by Danish artist Peter Ravn. It featured Me & My dressed like cats, rabbits and nuns. Pan-European magazine Music & Media described the song as "equally up-tempo and infectious" as "Dub-I-Dub". In 2007, the song was included on the act's best of album The Ultimate Collection.
"Can We Get Enough?" is a song recorded by American German-based Eurodance artist B.G., the Prince of Rap, released in 1993 by Dance Pool as the first single from his second album, The Time Is Now (1994). It was co-written by him with the producer of the song, Jam El Mar, and Stefan Benz, and is one of his most successful songs alongside "The Colour of My Dreams". In Europe, "Can We Get Enough?" peaked at number six in Italy, and was a top-30 hit in Sweden and a top-40 hit in Germany. On the Eurochart Hot 100, the single reached number 66 in August 1993. Elsewhere, it was a top-10 hit on the Canadian RPM Dance/Urban chart, as well as a top-20 hit in Israel.
"Give Me the Light" is a song recorded by British, Italy based Eurodance artist Ice MC, featuring vocals by Italian singer Valentina Ducros. Produced by German Eurodance project Masterboy, it was released in 1996 by Club Zone as the first single from Ice MC's fourth album, Dreadatour (1996). The song was a moderate hit in Europe, entering the top 20 in Finland (19), and the top 30 in Austria (30), France (23) and Italy (23). On the Eurochart Hot 100, "Give Me the Light" peaked at number 51 in July 1996. Pan-European magazine Music & Media wrote, "With a crafty production and strong chorus, this US-born, Italy-residing artist once again proves that he is one of the prime exponents of the Euro-dance scene."
"Close to Your Heart" is the fourth single released by British dance music producer Jake Williams under the name JX, featuring vocals by singer Shèna. It was released in February 1997 by Ffrreedom and Hooj Choons as a single only, peaking at number nine in Scotland and number 18 in the UK, as well as number one on the UK Dance Chart and number 53 on the Eurochart Hot 100. Additionally, the song charted in Israel and Australia, peaking at number three and 90, respectively.
"Power of American Natives" is a song by German techno duo Dance 2 Trance featuring vocals by USA-born, Germany-based singer Linda Rocco. Released in 1992 by Blow Up, Dance Pool and Logic Records as the third single from the duo's first album, Moon Spirits (1992), it is their most commercially successful single, and now widely considered as a classic of its genre. It peaked within the top 10 in Austria, Belgium, Finland, Germany, the Netherlands, Norway and Spain. In the UK, it was a top-30 hit, peaking at number 25, but fared even better on the UK dance and club charts, peaking at number three. The single sold 250,000 records and was awarded a gold disc. Its accompanying music video reached the mainstream networks such as MTV.
