Pieces by Rain is the third Korean-language extended play by South Korean singer Rain. It was released on March 3, 2021, by RAIN Company, Sublime Artist Agency and distributed by Kakao M. It is his first EP in three years, since My Life in 2017, and his first musical release since the single "Switch to Me" in January 2021.

The album contains a total of five tracks, including the lead single "Why Don't We", which features Chungha and the pre-release track "Switch to Me" with his mentor and former CEO J.Y. Park. [1]

Background

The project marks Rain's first release in three years. He reunited with his mentor Park Jin-young to release the collaboration song "Switch to Me" on December 31, 2020. [2] [3] Rain also featured Chungha on his song "Why Don't We", which served as the lead single from Pieces by Rain. [4] On March 3, 2021, Rain released the EP, which includes five songs, including "Switch to Me" and "Why Don't We". [5]

The album was released on February 3, 2020, by Source Music and distributed by kakao M. The release marked the group's first album in seven months, following Fever Season and the group's first project since Source Music was acquired by the company Big Hit Entertainment in 2019. The EP contains six songs including the lead single "Crossroads". Musically, it is a K-pop album with influences of various styles and genres including synth-pop, EDM and rock. Commercially, the EP topped the Gaon Album Chart upon debut. GFriend promoted the album with live performances on South Korean music shows, winning a total of 7 music show awards.

<i>Chocolate</i> (EP) 2020 EP by Max

Chocolate is the debut extended play (EP) by South Korean singer Max. The album was released on April 6, 2020 by SM Entertainment and is distributed by Dreamus. It features six tracks including the title track, "Chocolate" and also includes a collaboration with Korean singer Chungha. Wheein stated that the meaning of the album is "'to tidy up' and 'to get rid of' meaning to get out of false tastes and paint...honest colors."
