Pine Creek is a stream in Laclede County, Missouri. [1] It is a tributary of the Gasconade River.
The stream headwaters are at 37°29′08″N92°18′37″W / 37.48556°N 92.31028°W and the confluence with the Gasconade is at 37°32′57″N92°21′49″W / 37.54917°N 92.36361°W . [1] The stream source is in southern Laclede County just northwest of Missouri Route 95 and west of Lynchburg. The stream flows northwest past the community of Southard and on to join the Gasconade to the southwest of Nebo. The stream is within the Mark Twain National Forest. [2]
Pine Creek was named for the pine timber near its course. [3]
The Gasconade River is about 280 miles (450 km) long and is located in central and south-central Missouri.
Competition is an unincorporated community in southern Laclede County, Missouri, United States. It is located approximately seventeen miles southeast of Lebanon. It is on Missouri Route Z about one-half mile north of the Laclede-Wright county line. Lynchburg is approximately seven miles to the east. The Gasconade River flows past one mile to the east.
Roubidoux Creek is a tributary to the Gasconade River in the Ozarks of south central Missouri named after French-Canadian fur trader Joseph Robidoux. It is 57.4 miles (92.4 km) long. Due to its colder water temperatures, it is listed as a trout stream. Roubidoux Spring is a landmark that is nestled just south of downtown Waynesville. The creek cuts north through Fort Leonard Wood before crossing underneath Interstate 44 and into the city limits of Waynesville.
