Pirne is a village in Aytos Municipality, in Burgas Province, in southeastern Bulgaria. [1]

Pirne Peak in Antarctica is named after the village.

Rauman Lukko is a Finnish sports club based in Rauma, Finland, best known for its men’s professional ice hockey team. The club was founded as Rauma Woodin Lukko in 1936. The representative team currently plays in the Finnish Liiga, the premier men’s professional ice hockey league in Finland. They play their home games in the Äijänsuo Arena, which has a capacity of 5,400 spectators. Lukko won the SM-sarja in 1963 and won the Liiga championship in 2021. Until 2023 the club also had a top-tier women’s representative ice hockey team, which played in the Naisten Liiga, and a top-tier women’s representative pesäpallo team, which plays in the Superpesis.

Esa Pirnes is a Finnish former professional ice hockey centre. He played most of his career, which lasted from 1995 to 2016, in the Finnish Liiga. He also played 57 games in the National Hockey League with the Los Angeles Kings during the 2003–04 season, after the Kings selected him in the 6th round of the 2003 NHL Entry Draft. Internationally Pirnes played for the Finnish national team at four World Championships, winning two bronze medals.

Strezimirovci is a divided village in easternmost Serbia and westernmost Bulgaria. The Bulgarian half of the village is part of Tran Municipality, Pernik Province, whereas the Serbian part belongs to Surdulica municipality, Pčinja District. The village has a border checkpoint, and its residents on either side of the border are mostly Bulgarian; however, its division has caused its population to decrease more than tenfold. It lies in the geographic region of Znepolje (Znepolјe), at 42°48′N22°26′E, in a valley along the Jerma River, 830 metres above mean sea level.

Green Glacier is a glacier on the east side of Graham Land, Antarctica, 15 nautical miles (28 km) long and 4 nautical miles (7 km) wide, flowing from the plateau northeast between Dugerjav Peak and Rugate Ridge, and then east into Vaughan Inlet next north of Pirne Peak and south of the terminus of Hektoria Glacier.

Travnik Buttress is the broad ice-covered buttress rising to 1609 m in the southeast foothills of Forbidden Plateau, and linked to the east to Rugate Ridge on Oscar II Coast in Graham Land. It is situated between the upper courses of Green Glacier and Evans Glacier, and has precipitous, and partly ice-free northwest, northeast and southeast slopes. The feature is named after the settlement of Travnik in Northeastern Bulgaria.

Nedev Peak is the rocky peak rising to 459 m at the southeast extremity of Rugate Ridge on Oscar II Coast in Graham Land, Antarctica. It surmounts Evans Glacier on the southwest, Musina Glacier on the northwest and Vaughan Inlet on the east.
