Opening Night and Afterparties lineups

The opening night was held on 27 October 2015 in three venues, Café de la Danse, Badaboum, and Mécanique Ondulatoire. [7] Pitchfork teamed up with Red Bull Music Academy Paris to host afterparties on 29 and 30 October at Le Trabendo and 31 October at the Grande halle de la Villette. [8]

  1. In August 2015, Björk announced the cancellation of her upcoming tour dates, including the festival. [5] She was replaced by Thom Yorke. [6]
  2. Moses Sumney was added to the line-up, after Neon Indian cancelled their appearance due to unforeseen circumstances. [9]

While it started as a showcase for just the "cutting edge", it later took on a broader depth and vision, keeping the cutting-edge focus but also including important artists and acts that have influenced newer performers and artists. A branch planned for Berlin at Tempodrom in 2020 was cancelled.

"Náttúra" is a song written and recorded by Icelandic singer Björk featuring English musician Thom Yorke. The track was released as a single promoting the protection of the Icelandic environment. All proceeds from the single were donated to the Náttúra Foundation, the environmental preservation campaign after which the song is named. The single was initially discovered by Björk's French-language fan website and was later confirmed by the singer's representatives. It was released on 20 October 2008 as an iTunes exclusive, and had a wide digital release on 27 October. The song was given a physical release on 20 April 2009, with a white label vinyl released by One Little Indian's web shop. The single was included on the deluxe version of Björk's 2011 album Biophilia.
