Platycheirus luteipennis, [1] the coppery sedgesitter, is a rarely collected but widely distributed species of fly in the syrphidae family commonly called hoverflies. It has been identified from Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Quebec, Montana, North Dakota, and Colorado. The larvae are unknown. [2]
