Poieni-Solca (German : Pojeni) is a commune located in Suceava County, Romania. Composed of a single village, Poieni-Solca, it was established in 2007 when it was split from Solca town.

Solca is a town in Suceava County, north-eastern Romania. It is situated in the historical region of Bukovina. Solca is the smallest town in the county and the third smallest town in Romania, with a population of 2,143 inhabitants, according to the 2011 census. Its name is derived from that of the river flowing through it, in turn derived from Slavic sol ("salt") – in reference to the area's salty springs. Solca is known for its high quality air, for being a former spa and for the beer that was manufactured here.

Roșia Poieni copper mine copper mine in Romania

The Roșia Poieni copper mine is a large open pit copper mine in the centre of Romania, 90 km northwest of Alba Iulia and 484 km north of the capital, Bucharest. Geographically the mine is located in the Apuseni Mountains, 7 km (4.3 mi) south of the Arieş River in Lupșa commune. The access to the site is made through a south-west industrial haul road from Cornii Valley that crosses the National Road no. 74 Alba-Iulia – Zlatna – Abrud when entering Abrud and through a north industrial haul road from Musca Valley that crosses the National Road no. 75 Campeni – Turda in Musca village, Lupșa commune.

Bucovinean Romanian dialect

Bucovinean Romanian, or Bukovinan is a branch of the Romanian language spoken in Bukovina and which has influences of both Moldovan, Transylvanian, and Maramureș. It also features the presence of numerous German and Ruthenian loanwords which were introduced into the dialect while Bukovina was a province of the Austrian Empire (1774–1918). Due to the language policy promoted by the Austrian monarchy, several languages were spoken in Bucovina: Ukrainian, Romanian, Polish, German (Buchenländisch), and Yiddish. Today, the Bucovina dialect is being replaced by the standard Romanian language, especially in the urban areas of southern Bucovina, while the language in northern Bukovina is being replaced by Ukrainian.

The 2019–20 Liga IV Suceava is the 52nd season of Liga IV Suceava, the fourth tier of the Romanian football league system. The season is scheduled began on 18 August 2019 and will end in June 2020.
