"I Like to Move It" is a song by American solo project Reel 2 Real, featuring ragga vocals by Trinidad and Tobago rapper The Mad Stuntman. Released by Strictly Rhythm in October 1993 as the second single from the project's debut album, Move It! (1994), it appeared on the US Billboard Hot 100 chart in 1994, peaking at number 89, and reached number five on the UK Singles Chart the same year. It was a number-one hit in Belgium, France, the Netherlands, and Zimbabwe. On the Billboard Dance Club Play chart, it peaked at number eight.
"No Good (Start the Dance)" is a song by English electronic music group the Prodigy. Written and produced by group member Liam Howlett, it was released on 16 May 1994 by XL Recordings as the second single from the group's second studio album, Music for the Jilted Generation (1994). Commercially, the track was presented with the slogan, "Hard dance with attitude" and is built around a repeated vocal sample from "You're No Good for Me", a song released by American singer Kelly Charles in 1987. Howlett initially had doubts whether to use the sample because he thought it was too pop for his taste. The song also contains samples from "Funky Nassau" by Bahamian funk group the Beginning of the End. It was certified Gold in Germany for 250,000 sold copies. The music video for the song was directed by Walter Stern and filmed in London.
"The Real Thing" is a song recorded by Belgian/Dutch Eurodance band 2 Unlimited, released in May 1994 by Byte, Zyx and PWL as the first single from their third album, Real Things (1994). The song is co-written by band members Ray Slijngaard and Anita Dels, and scored chart success in many European countries. It topped the charts in Finland, Lithuania and the Netherlands, while peaking at number two in Denmark, Sweden, Belgium and Switzerland. The song also was a top-10 hit in Austria, France, Germany, Norway, Scotland, Spain and the UK. It entered the Eurochart Hot 100 on 28 May at 30 and peaked at number-one three weeks later. Outside Europe, it peaked at number two in Israel and number 39 in Australia. The music video was directed by Nigel Simpkiss, and received heavy rotation on music television channels, such as MTV Europe and VIVA.
"Exterminate!" is a song by German Eurodance group Snap! featuring American singer Niki Haris, released in December 1992 by Logic Records as the third single from their second studio album, The Madman's Return (1992), and features vocals by the group's new front woman, Haris, who also is credited for co-writing it. Going for a more trance-like song than its predecessor, "Rhythm Is a Dancer", it is based on the track "Ex-Terminator" and was included in later editions of the album. Released first at the end of 1992, it was a hit in several countries, peaking at number-one in Finland and Spain, and number two in the United Kingdom, where it spent 15 weeks on the charts. The music video for "Exterminate!" was directed by Angel Gracia.
"I Miss You" is a song by Trinidadian-German musician Haddaway, released in November 1993 by Coconut Records as the third single from the musician's debut album, The Album (1993). Unlike his two previous hit singles, the song is a ballad. It was written by Dee Dee Halligan, Junior Torello and Clyde Lieberman, and produced by Halligan and Torello. A sizeable hit in several countries, particularly in the United Kingdom and Finland, it entered the top 10, reaching number nine and four, respectively. The single entered the Eurochart Hot 100 at number 87 on 11 December 1993 and peaked at number 10 on 19 February 1994. However, it did not reach the same level of success as "What Is Love" and "Life". By March 1994, worldwide sales had reached 300,000 units.
"Rock My Heart" is a song by Trinidadian-German musician Haddaway, released in March 1994 as the fourth and final single from his debut album, The Album (1993). It was written and produced by Dee Dee Halligan and Junior Torello. Like the previous single "I Miss You", the song was a hit in several countries, particularly in the UK, Germany, Finland, Switzerland, Ireland and Belgium, where it reached the top 10. In Israel, it peaked at number one for two weeks. "Rock My Heart" shot into the Eurochart Hot 100 at number 17 on 9 April 1994 and peaked at seven four weeks later.
"Got to Get It" is a song by German group Culture Beat from their second studio album, Serenity (1993). The song was written by Nosie Katzmann, Jay Supreme, Torsten Fenslau and Peter Zweier, and produced by Fenslau. The lyrics describes the feeling of not getting over someone you once were in love with, hence the refrain Got to get it, got to get it out of my head. It was released as the second single from the album on 13 September 1993 by German label Dance Pool and was a hit in most European countries, peaking at number-one in both Belgium and Finland. The single was also a top-five hit in Denmark, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Lithuania, Spain, Sweden, the Netherlands and the UK. In the UK, the US and Canada, the song peaked at number one on the dance music charts. Its music video was directed by Martin Person and filmed in Denmark and Portugal, telling the story of two lovers breaking up.
"Eins, Zwei, Polizei" is a 1994 song recorded by Italian dance musician Mo-Do and was released as the debut single from his first and only album, Was Ist Das? (1995). The song got its inspiration from "Der Kommissar" by Austrian singer Falco and "Da Da Da" by German band Trio, both released in the early 1980s. It was co-produced by Claudio Zennaro and Fulvio Zafret, and achieved great success in many European countries. "Eins, Zwei, Polizei" reached number-one in Austria, Germany and Italy. Giuseppe Capotondi directed the music video for the song. It has since been remixed and re-released several times. In 1995, it was remixed by DJ XTC of Chile. In 2000, it was re-released in a remix by Maurizio Ferrara, in 2008 with remixes by German DJ Blutonium Boy and Floorfilla, and in 2019 the song was reworked by Dutch-Turkish DJ Ummet Ozcan.
"Das Boot" is the title theme to the film and TV series Das Boot, composed and produced by Klaus Doldinger, and released as a single in 1981. In 1991, the song was covered by German DJ and producer Alex Christensen and his dance music project U96. This techno version was U96's debut single, released by Polydor from the album of the same name (1992).
"Think About the Way" is a song by British, Italian-based rapper Ice MC, released in March 1994 as the second single from his third album, Ice'n'Green (1994), on which it appears in four versions, and his tenth single overall. It was produced by Roberto Zanetti, also known as Robyx, and was written by Zanetti and Ice MC, though many releases credit Zanetti as the sole writer. The female vocals were performed by Italian singer Alexia, though she was also uncredited and doesn't appear in the music video for the song, directed by Giacomo de Simone. The song was very successful in Europe, reaching the top 5 in Belgium and Italy, and the top 15 in Denmark, France, Germany, Spain, Switzerland, Sweden and the Netherlands. In the UK and Ireland, it was released under the title "Think About the Way ", which it refers to the first words of the first verse.
"It's a Rainy Day" is a song by British, Italy based Eurodance artist Ice MC, released in August 1994 by Italian label Dance World Attack as the third single from his third album, Ice'n'Green (1994), on which it appears in two versions, and his eleventh single overall. Written and produced by Robyx, it features vocals by Italian singer Alexia. It became the most successful single of the album, reaching number-one in Italy and number two in both Belgium and Spain. The single was also released with new remixes for the Christmas holidays. Giacomo de Simone directed its accompanying music video, which was filmed in Italy with Alexia.
"Max Don't Have Sex With Your Ex" is a song recorded by German Eurodance act E-Rotic, released in June 1994 by Blow Up as the group's debut and lead single from their first album, Sex Affairs (1995). Written and composed by David Brandes, John O'Flynn and Felix Gauder, the song hit success in Germany where it peaked at number seven. In the Netherlands, it reached number four while in Austria, it reached number 12. It also peaked at number 14 in Switzerland and number 20 in France. The song is the group's highest charting single in the United Kingdom, where it peaked at number 45 on the UK Singles Chart in June 1995.
"Love Religion" is a song recorded by German dance music act U96, released by Guppy label in October 1994, as the lead single from the act's third album, Club Bizarre (1995). Unlike their previous songs, "Love Religion" is more trance-oriented techno and pop. It takes its main melody from Giorgio Moroder's 1978 instrumental "The Chase". The background vocals are performed by Dutch singer, actress and TV host Daisy Dee. It peaked at number two in Finland and Sweden, and was also a top 10 hit in Austria, Denmark, Germany, the Netherlands and Switzerland. The music video for the song was directed by Nico Beyer.
"Is This the Love" is a song recorded by German Eurodance band Masterboy, released in October 1994, as the fourth single from their third album, Different Dreams (1994). It became one of band's most successful singles in terms of peak positions on the charts, hitting some success in many European countries, particularly in Austria, where it reached number eight and remained for 12 weeks in the top 30. The song was also successful in their native Germany, where it reached number eleven and was ranked for 13 weeks, and in France where it peaked at number 12 and stayed for 19 weeks in the top 50. On the Eurochart Hot 100, "Is This the Love" reached number 42 in January 1995. Its accompanying music video was A-listed on Germany's VIVA in December 1994.
"Welcome to Tomorrow " is a song by German Eurodance group Snap!, released in September 1994 by Ariola and Arista as the lead single from the group's third and final studio album, Welcome to Tomorrow (1994). The song features vocals by the group's new American singer, Summer, who co-wrote the lyrics with the producers Benito Benites and John "Virgo" Garrett III. It reached number one in Finland and was also a top-10 hit in Belgium, Denmark, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Spain and the UK. Its accompanying music video, made with Softimage 3D and directed by Angel Gracia, took three months to finish.
"No More (I Can't Stand It)" is a song by German Eurodance project Maxx. It was released in March 1994 by Blow Up and Intercord as the second single from their debut album, To The Maxximum (1994), and is the follow-up to the project's successful debut single, "Get-A-Way". The singer on the song is Linda Meek after that Samira Besic did not participate further in Maxx, after "Get-A-Way". "No More" was written by Dakota O'Neil, Dawhite, Gary Bokoe, George Torpey and The Hitman, and produced by The Movement. It peaked at number eight in the United Kingdom and also charted in Canada and Japan. Its music video was directed by Jonathan Bate and filmed in France.
