Polycauliona comandorica is a species of fruticulose (minutely shrubby) lichen in the family Teloschistaceae. It was formally described as a new species in 2021 by Dmitry Himelbrant, Irina Stepanchikova, and Ivan Frolov.
The lichen is found in the splash zone of the Commander Islands in the Russian Far East; its specific epithet comandorica refers to its type locality. The type specimen was collected on Medny Island, under a colony of horned puffins. A close association with seabird colonies is common to all of the known localities of this lichen species. Several secondary compounds have been detected in the lichen, including parietin as a major compound, and minor to trace amounts of parietinic acid, emodin, citreorosein, emodinal, emodic acid, fallacinal, and teloschistin. The fruticulose growth form is rather rare in the Teloschistaceae, with about a dozen examples known in the family of about one thousand species. P. comandorica is somewhat similar in morphology to P. thamnodes ; it is distinguished by its lighter yellow to grey thallus, its rougher, longer and thicker branches; its soredia and blastidia; and in the absence of apothecia. Cetrelia is a genus of leafy lichens in the large family Parmeliaceae. They are commonly known as sea-storm lichens, alluding to the wavy appearance of their lobes. The name of the genus, circumscribed in 1968 by the husband and wife lichenologists William and Chicita Culberson, alludes to the former placement of these species in the genera Cetraria and Parmelia.

Parmotrema anchietanum is a species of saxicolous lichen in the family Parmeliaceae. Found in South America, it was described as new to science in 2008. The holotype was collected on the rocky shore of Anchieta Island in São Paulo; the lichen is named after the type locality. Its leathery, pale grey thallus measures up to 16 cm (6.3 in) in diameter, composed of irregularly branched lobes that are typically 1–3 mm wide. Secondary compounds present in the lichen include atranorin and chloratranorin in the cortex, and salazinic acid and consalazinic acid in the medulla.

Caloplaca wallabyensis is a species of crustose lichen in the family Teloschistaceae. Found in Australia, it was formally described as a new species in 2010 by lichenologists John Alan Elix, Sergey Kondratyuk, and Ingvar Kärnefelt. The type specimen was collected by Elix in Western Australia's Wallaby Hills Nature Reserve, for which the species is named. Here it was found growing on an old termite mound in Eucalyptus salmonophloia woodland with Xanthorrhoea shrubs and laterite rocks. It is known only from the type locality, where it is common.
Squamulea is a genus of lichen-forming fungi in the family Teloschistaceae. It has 15 species. The genus was circumscribed in 2013 by Ulf Arup, Ulrik Søchting, and Patrik Frödén, with Squamulea subsoluta assigned as the type species. Five species were included in the original account of the genus. The genus name alludes to the squamulose growth form of most of its species. Squamulea has a worldwide distribution; when the genus was originally created, the centre of distribution was thought to be in southwestern North America.
Lendemeriella is a genus of crustose lichens in the subfamily Caloplacoideae of the family Teloschistaceae. It has nine species. The genus was circumscribed in 2020 by Sergey Kondratyuk, with Lendemeriella reptans assigned as the type species. The genus name honours the American lichenologist James Lendemer, who co-authored the type species in 2012.
Caloplaca tephromelae is a species of lichenicolous (lichen-eating) lichen in the family Teloschistaceae. Found in Australia, it was formally described as a new species in 2021 by Gintaras Kantvilas, Ave Suija, and Jurga Motiejūnaitė. The type specimen was collected from the northern rim of Callitris Gully ; here it was found growing on the thallus of the lichen Tephromela atra, which itself was growing on dolerite outcrops. Caloplaca tephromelae is only known to occur at the type locality. It appears as whitish areolate sections, outlined by a dark band of prothallus, growing within the thallus of its host lichen. Another recorded host is Tephromela granularis. The specific epithet tephromelae refers to the genus of the host.
Caloplaca saviczii is a species of crustose lichen in the family Teloschistaceae. Found in the Russian Far East, it was formally described as a new species in 2021 by Ivan Frolov, Dmitry Himelbrant, Irina Stepanchikova, Liudmila Konoreva, and Sergey Chesnokov. The type specimen was collected in the fluvial valley of River Katal'yanayvayam ; here, in a floodplain forest, it was found growing on the bark of Populus suaveolens. The specific epithet saviczii honours Russian lichenologist Vsevolod Pavlovich Savich (1885–1972), who studied the lichens of Kamchatka.
Lendemeriella aureopruinosa is a species of crustose lichen in the family Teloschistaceae. Found in the Russian Far East, it was formally described as a new species in 2021 by Ivan Frolov, Jan Vondrák, Ulf Arup, Liudmila Konoreva, and Sergey Chesnokov, Lidia Yakovchenko, and Evgeny Davydov. The type specimen was collected on the banks of River Bes-Yuryakh ; here it was found growing on siliceous outcrops in a forest comprising largely birch, alder, and larch trees. The thallus of the lichen ranges in form from an inconspicuous grey film to a more well-developed crust or areoles. Its apothecia measure 0.3–0.6 mm in diameter and have a dark-orange to brick-red coloured disc. Secondary chemicals detected in the lichen include parietin, parietinic acid, emodin, teloschistin, and fallacinal. The specific epithet aureopruinosa refers to the bright gold-coloured pruina that is found on young apothecia.
Caloplaca ahtii is a species of corticolous (bark-dwelling) crustose lichen in the family Teloschistaceae. Found in Europe, it was formally described as a new species in 1994 by Ulrik Søchting. The type locality was in Finland, and the type specimen was found growing on Populus. The species epithet honours Finnish lichenologist Teuvo Ahti. In 2022, the species was documented from North-Western European Russia. It is also found in North America.
Caloplaca kedrovopadensis is a little-known species of crustose lichen in the family Teloschistaceae. It is only found in the Kedrovaya Pad Nature Reserve in the Russian Far East, and on the Jiri Mountain of South Korea. The lichen has been recorded growing on rocks and on bark.
Kuettlingeria is a genus of lichen-forming fungi in the family Teloschistaceae. The genus was originally circumscribed in 1857 by Italian botanist Vittore Benedetto Antonio Trevisan de Saint-Léon. The genus was resurrected in 2020 to include 14 species formerly in the Caloplaca xerica species group as well as C. cretensis and C. diphyodes.
Lichenopeltella coppinsii is a species of lichenicolous fungus belonging to the class Dothideomycetes. It was described in 1999. It is known to infect Verrucaria muralis and has been reported from the British Isles, Ukraine, and Moshchny Island in the Baltic sea.
