Ponparkyin is a small town near the Myanmar-Thailand border in Mong Ton Township, Mong Hsat District of Shan State in eastern Myanmar. Really, It is Known as " Poung Par Khem " by Shan People. [2]

The Mong Tai Army, was an insurgent group consisting of soldiers from the Shan minority in Myanmar, founded in 1985 by Khun Sa.
