Porridge Radio are a British indie rock band formed in Brighton in 2015. [1] They are fronted by vocalist, songwriter and lead guitarist Dana Margolin. [2] The other members are keyboardist Georgie Stott, bass guitarist Maddie Ryall and drummer Sam Yardley. [1]

Contents

The Guardian listed them among their top 40 new artists of 2018 and described their music as 'slacker indie'. [3]

They performed a live session for Marc Riley's show on BBC Radio 6 Music in May 2019 and again in February 2020. [4] [5]

They announced signing to US independent label Secretly Canadian in December 2019. [6] In January 2020, they announced their second album and their label debut, Every Bad , which was released on 13 March 2020 to critical acclaim. [7] Later that year they released three singles; "Good For You" was co-released on 2 July 2020 with the artist Lala Lala, "7 Seconds" was released on 14 September 2020, and "The Last Time I Saw You (O Christmas)" was released on 8 December 2020. Formation

Porridge Radio was started by Dana Margolin, who prior to starting the band was attending open mics and songwriting in her bedroom. She formed Porridge Radio as a way to express herself by using inspiration from the sea and her seaside home of Brighton. The band was formed with Maddie Ryall on bass, Georgie Stott on keyboard, and Sam Yardley on drums. [11]

Daniel Jack Eisner Harle is a British music producer and composer who records under the name Danny L Harle. He was formerly signed to the London-based PC Music label and is a member of Dux Content with A. G. Cook. He has produced, composed, and remixed music for a number of artists; most prominently, he executive produced Caroline Polachek's 2019 album Pang and 2023 album Desire, I Want to Turn Into You. He released his debut album Harlecore (2021) through the label Mad Decent, featuring collaborations with Polachek, Hudson Mohawke, and Lil Data.

Alexander Giannascoli, better known by his stage names Alex G or, formerly, (Sandy) Alex G, is an American musician, producer, and singer-songwriter. He started his career with DIY self-releases on Bandcamp and began building up an audience with his label debut, DSU (2014), released on Orchid Tapes to critical acclaim from various publications. He later signed with Lucky Number, who reissued his earlier releases, Rules and Trick (2012). In 2015, he signed with Domino Recording Company and released his sixth studio album, Beach Music. He followed it in 2017 with Rocket, which received further acclaim and recognition. Vant are a British indie rock band formed in 2014 by frontman and songwriter Mattie Vant. In 2015, Vant signed to Parlophone Records. The band announced an "indefinite hiatus" in 2017 to take effect at the end of their Last Days of Punk tour during November. The band released a new song, "Propaganda Machine" in December 2018 and teased new music in 2019.

Sacred Paws is a Scottish rock band, comprising Ray Aggs and Eilidh Rodgers, who met as members of the band Golden Grrrls. Their debut album Strike a Match won the 2017 Scottish Album of the Year Award.

NewDad are a rock band from Galway, Ireland, formed in 2018. Their music has been compared to The Cure, Beabadoobee, and Just Mustard by NME magazine. Atwood Magazine wrote of the group: "The band oozes personality with cynical but honest lyrics, colorful visual components, and poignant messages about coping with the, albeit painful, formative experiences." The group have appeared at the Green Man Festival in Wales, the Pitchfork Music Festival in Paris, and on the Irish television program Other Voices.

How to Let Go is the second studio album by Norwegian singer-songwriter Sigrid, released on 6 May 2022 through Island Records. The album serves as the follow-up to Sigrid's debut album, Sucker Punch (2019). The album was promoted by the singles "Mirror", "Burning Bridges", "It Gets Dark", and "Bad Life" with British rock band Bring Me the Horizon.
