The Power Universe (or Power franchise) is a media franchise of an American television crime drama series created by Courtney A. Kemp in collaboration with Curtis "50 Cent" Jackson. [1] The franchise produced one of the highest rated shows on Starz and most watched on the cable network. [2]
Four television series make up the Power Universe franchise: Power, Power Book II: Ghost, Power Book III: Raising Kanan, and Power Book IV: Force. All series in total amount to 148 episodes across 15 seasons of television.

James St. Patrick finds himself in trouble when he is caught between balancing two separate lives. Trying to leave his past as a smooth yet ruthless drug-dealer nicknamed "Ghost," his new goals to be a legitimate nightclub owner and to save his crumbling marriage don't come easy. As the "ghost" of his past comes to roost, James must evade the police, manage shifting economic alliances, and attempt to leave the criminal world behind.
Serving as a sequel to the original series, Power Book II: Ghost follows Tariq St. Patrick as he navigates a new life. With a desire to shed his father's legacy, he too finds himself entangled in the complications of drug operations and family affairs. With mounting pressure to save his family, he must learn to balance his drug operation, take on the cutthroat Tejada family, and avoid scrutiny from local and federal law enforcement.
In a prequel to the original series, Power Book III: Raising Kanan follows the journey of young Kanan Stark as he first gets into the drug-dealing game in the 1990s to his role as a major antagonist in Power.
In the second sequel spin-off to Power,Power Book IV: Force follows Tommy Egan as he leaves New York behind to try to become the greatest drug-dealer in all of Chicago.
A fifth series in the Power Universe was announced to be in development at Starz on March 13, 2024. [9] The series will serve as a prequel to the original series, following the early years of Ghost and Tommy. [10]
The development of Power Book V: Influence was cancelled in August 2022 and the series would not be moving forward. [11]

Euphemia LatiQue"Tika" Sumpter is an American actress and producer. Sumpter began her career as the host of Best Friend's Date. From 2005 to 2010, she appeared in the daytime soap opera One Life to Live. In 2010, she made her film debut in Stomp the Yard: Homecoming and later featured in supporting roles for What's Your Number? (2011), Sparkle (2012), and A Madea Christmas (2013).
Steven S. DeKnight is an American filmmaker. He is best known for being the creator, head writer, and executive producer of the Starz series Spartacus, including Spartacus: Blood and Sand, Spartacus: Gods of the Arena, Spartacus: Vengeance, and Spartacus: War of the Damned, as well as developing Jupiter's Legacy for Netflix.
G-Unit Films and Television Inc. is an American film and television production company founded by rapper Curtis "50 Cent" Jackson in 2003. The company produced documentaries based on Jackson's upbringing or his affiliates. In 2008, Jackson founded a successor company, Cheetah Vision, in a joint venture with Randall Emmett, temporarily closing G-Unit Films until its revival in 2010, under the name G-Unit Films and Television Inc.

Jasmine Cephas Jones is an American-British actress and singer who is best known for originating the dual roles of Peggy Schuyler and Maria Reynolds in the Broadway stage musical Hamilton. Her work on Hamilton's accompanying cast album earned her a Grammy Award for Best Musical Theater Album. In 2020, Cephas Jones won a Primetime Emmy for portraying Tyisha in #freerayshawn.
Gary Lennon is an American playwright, television writer and executive producer. Lennon is currently the showrunner of Power Book IV: Force on Starz, and he is credited with elevating the series to critical acclaim after he stepped into the role in its second season. Lennon is also reported to be working on expanding the Power universe to additional spinoffs in his overall development deal with Lionsgate Television. Lennon was previously the co-showrunner of Power and Hightown, both for Starz and Lionsgate. He is also an executive producer on Euphoria for HBO. In 2013, Lennon won a Peabody Award for the first season of Orange is the New Black along with his fellow writers and producers.
P-Valley is an American drama television series created by Katori Hall. The series is an adaptation of Hall's play Pussy Valley, and follows primarily African-American women working at The Pynk strip club in the Mississippi Delta under the femme non-binary proprietor Uncle Clifford Sayles. P-Valley stars Brandee Evans, Nicco Annan, J. Alphonse Nicholson, and Elarica Johnson. It premiered on Starz on July 12, 2020, and was renewed for a second season two weeks after its premiere. The second season premiered on June 3, 2022. In October 2022, the series was renewed for a third season.
Power Book II: Ghost, or simply Ghost is an American crime drama television series created by Courtney A. Kemp that premiered on September 6, 2020 on Starz. The series is both a direct sequel and spin-off to Power.
Power Book IV: Force, or simply Force is an American crime drama television series created by Robert Munic that premiered on February 6, 2022, on Starz. The series is a sequel and third spin-off to Power created by Courtney A. Kemp. In March 2022, the series was renewed for a second season, which premiered on September 1, 2023. In December 2023, the series was renewed for a third season. In June 2024, it was announced that the third season will be the final season.
Power Book III: Raising Kanan, or simply Raising Kanan is an American crime drama television series created by Sascha Penn that premiered on July 18, 2021 on Starz. It is a prequel and second spin-off to Power.

BMF is an American crime drama television series created by Randy Huggins, which follows the Black Mafia Family, a drug trafficking and money laundering organization. The series premiered on September 26, 2021, on Starz. After the series premiere, the series was renewed for a second season which premiered on January 6, 2023. In January 2023, the series was renewed for a third season, which premiered on March 1, 2024. On February 29, 2024, ahead of the third season premiere, the series was renewed for a fourth season.
Tommy Egan, portrayed by Joseph Sikora, is a fictional character from the Starz television series, Power and spin-offs, Book II and Book IV. He is a convicted drug dealer from Jamaica, Queens and the only character to star in three out of four shows in the Power Universe.
The Hunting Wives is an upcoming American drama series based upon the novel of the same name by May Cobb for Starz. It stars Malin Akerman, Brittany Snow, Dermot Mulroney, Evan Jonigkeit, Chrissy Metz, Jaime Ray Newman, Katie Lowes and George Ferrier.
