Power of the Blues is the fourteenth solo album by Northern Irish blues guitarist and singer Gary Moore, released in 2004. All tracks from this album were re-released on the multi-disc compilation, "Blues and Beyond" in 2017.

John Symon Asher “Jack” Bruce was a Scottish musician, singer, songwriter and composer. He gained popularity as the primary lead vocalist and bassist of rock band Cream. After the group disbanded in 1968, he pursued a solo career and also played with several bands.

"Stop Messin' Round" is a song first recorded by English blues rock group Fleetwood Mac in 1968. It was written by the group's principal guitarist and singer Peter Green, with an additional credit for manager C.G. Adams. The song is an upbeat 12-bar blues shuffle and is representative of the group's early repertoire of conventional electric blues. The lyrics deal with the common blues theme of the unfaithful lover and share elements with earlier songs.

It was recorded live on May 21, 2003 at Sheffield Hallam Arena in England, during Gary Moore's appearance on the 2003 Monsters of Rock tour. Despite being credited solely to Moore, the album actually represents a performance by Moore's short-lived Scars project, featuring Cass Lewis and Darrin Mooney on bass and drums, respectively. "Parisienne Walkways" is a song by guitarist Gary Moore that reached number 8 in the UK Singles Chart in May 1979. The song is featured on Moore's album Back on the Streets and features a vocal from Thin Lizzy frontman, Phil Lynott, who co-wrote the song with Moore. Lynott also played bass guitar on the track, alongside Thin Lizzy drummer Brian Downey, thus reuniting the short-lived 1974 Thin Lizzy line-up which had recorded "Still in Love with You", "Sitamoia" and the single "Little Darling". The melody of "Parisienne Walkways" is based on the jazz standard "Blue Bossa" by Kenny Dorham. It became Gary Moore's signature song.
Live at Montreux 2010 is a live album and Blu-ray/DVD by the Northern Irish, blues rock guitarist and singer, Gary Moore. It was recorded at the Montreux Jazz Festival on 6 July 2010, and released on 19 September 2011. This would prove to be Gary Moore's last filmed performance before his death on 6 February 2011.
