Powers Park consists of the 'POWERS FERRY 01' and 'TERRELL MILL 01' voting precincts. Clockwise, the area is defined by Lower Roswell Road, Old Paper Mill Road, Terrell Mill Road, Delk Road, Powers Ferry Road (both sides), Interstate 75, and South Marietta Parkway.
Powers Park features an eclectic mix of mostly small neighborhoods with single family residential homes built between 1950 and 1980.
Powers Creek and Powers Ferry Road run through the heart of the community. Notable attractions include Powers Ferry Elementary School, Sedalia Park Elementary School and Terrell Mill Park. Hence, the Powers Park name honors all five of these.
The area is popular with young homeowners, attracted by the community's convenient proximity to Interstate 75, Interstate 285, the bustling Cumberland / Galleria business district, and The Battery entertainment district, home of Truist Park and the Atlanta Braves.

Home Park is a neighborhood of Atlanta in Georgia, US. It is bordered on the south by Georgia Tech, on the west by the railroad yards adjacent to Marietta Street and Brady Avenue, on the north by 16th Street at Atlantic Station, and on the east by Techwood Drive at I-75/85.
There were several historic mills around the metro Atlanta area, for which many of its current-day roads are still named. Ernest W. Barrett Parkway is a major thoroughfare in the northwestern part of the Atlanta metropolitan area, in the north-central part of Cobb County, in the U.S. state of Georgia. It travels from the southeastern edge of Kennesaw to a point north of Marietta, and continues on in both directions under other names. The portion of Barrett Parkway between Interstate 575 (I-575/SR 5) and US 41/SR 3 is designated State Route 5 Connector. The road is named after Ernest W. Barrett, the first chairman of the Cobb County Board of Commissioners in the 1960s, after home rule was enacted under a Georgia State Constitution amendment. The initial portion was constructed through Barrett family land, enabling it to be later sold for major development.
Towne Lake is a planned community in southern Cherokee County, Georgia, United States. It begins approximately two miles (3 km) due west of downtown Woodstock and extends northwest, in an area formerly known to long-time locals as "Thousand-Acre Woods", originally part of the Little River State Wildlife Management Area, which has since completely succumbed to suburban development.

Capitol View Manor is a small community in Southwest Atlanta that was named for the excellent view of the Georgia State Capitol building. Its boundaries include I-75/85 to the east, the Beltline to the north, Metropolitan Parkway to the west, and Atlanta Technical College to the south.
Johnson Ferry was an important 19th-century ferry linking what is now Atlanta with much of north Georgia on the other side of the Chattahoochee River. The name Johnson is a corrupted version of the owner's name, which was really Johnston; therefore the ferry was originally called the Johnston ferry. A historical plaque on the present Johnson Ferry Road documents that ownership.
Paces is a neighborhood of Atlanta, US. It is part of the Buckhead district and located in the far northwest corner of the city. Paces is bounded on the northwest by the Chattahoochee River, which is also the Cobb/Fulton county line. Just across the river in Cobb is the unincorporated community of Vinings, which was originally known as Paces after founder Hardy Pace, who operated Pace's Ferry. Cumberland is also located on the other side of the river. It is perhaps Atlanta's most affluent neighborhood, with many houses selling in the US$5–$7 million range, and some for more than $20 million.
The Cobb County School District (CCSD) is the county government agency which operates public schools in Cobb County, Georgia, United States. The school district includes all of Cobb County except for the Marietta City Schools, though a number of schools in unincorporated parts of the county have Marietta addresses. It is the second-largest school system in Georgia and 25th largest in the United States. The district is the county's largest employer and one of the largest in the US. All Cobb County schools are accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS), and the district is among the first to have earned district-wide accreditation. The superintendent of the school district is Chris Ragsdale.
