It stars Jayasurya in the title role, along with Vineeth, Lal, Navya Nair and Bhavana in other major roles. The film features original songs composed by Alex Paul, while Berny-Ignatius did the scoring. The plot follows Chanthu, an aspiring scriptwriter. The film was released on 14 April 2004 and has a cult status in Malayalam cinema. It was remade in Kannada as Kal Manja.
