The music is composed by Laxmikant–Pyarelal. The film was a remake of Tamil film Unnai Naan Santhithen (1984). It was released on 14 August 1987, along with Watan Ke Rakhwale, but still did well commercially and proved to be a box office hit as well as one of the highest grossing films of 1987.
