Praveen Kumar an Indian politician and former Mayor of Mangalore City Corporation. He was elected into office on 28 February 2011, with Geetha N. Nayak as Deputy Mayor. [1] [2] He is the 25th person to have become mayor of the city corporation, since its establishment in 1984. Kumar is a Dalit, and belongs to the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). [2] He was succeeded as Mayor on 7 March 2012 by Indian National Congress (INC) candidate, Gulzar Banu. [3]

Harish Singh Rawat is an Indian politician who served as the Chief Minister of Uttarakhand from 2014 to 2017. As a member of 15th Lok Sabha, Rawat served as Union Minister of Water Resources in the cabinet of Prime Minister Manmohan Singh from 2012 to 2014. The Mangalore City Corporation is the municipal corporation responsible for overseeing the local administration of the Indian city of Mangalore and it's suburbs, which are a major urban area and the most important port city of Karnataka state. The mechanism of municipal corporation was introduced in British India, with formation of the municipal corporation in Madras (Chennai) in 1688, followed by municipal corporations in Bombay (Mumbai) and Calcutta (Kolkata) in 1762. It consists of a legislative and an executive body. The legislative body is headed by the Mayor, while the executive body is headed by a Chief Commissioner.

Rajani Duganna was an Indian politician who served as 24th mayor of Mangalore City Corporation. She took office on 26 February 2010, with B. Rajendra Kumar as deputy mayor. She was the fifth woman to become mayor of the city corporation since its establishment in 1984. She was a Billava and belonged to the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). Duganna was succeeded as mayor by her cousin Praveen Kumar on 28 February 2011. Duganna died on 9 July 2023, at the age of 78.

He was elected twice as an M.L.A. from Mustafabad constituency in Delhi, defeating Yogender Kumar Sharma (BJP) by 983 votes in 2008 and Jagdish Pradhan (BJP) by 1,896 votes in 2013. He lost to Jagdish Pradhan in 2015 by 6031 votes. Ahmed was born in small town of Uttar Pradesh in Rasoolpur Dhaulri.
