Prawin Pudi (born 1 March 1982) is an Indian film editor who has worked on Telugu language films. [1] [2]

Career

Prawin Pudi joined the Telugu film industry as an assistant to editor Kotagiri Venkateswara Rao in 2000, before apprenticing under A. Sreekar Prasad and Marthand K. Venkatesh. He worked on Telugu films in the early 2000s as an assistant editor, before moving on to work as a free lancer for corporate films, documentaries and television advertisements, before shifting to Pawan Kalyan Creative Works as an associate editor. [3] After making his debut as an independent editor with Aakasa Ramanna (2010), his first breakthrough came after working with Trivikram Srinivas in the action comedy Julayi (2012). [2] Since then, Prawin has regularly collaborated with the film maker in Attarintiki Daredi (2013) and S/O Satyamurthy (2015). He has also worked closely with Vikram Kumar, working with him in the successful Manam (2014) and the Tamil film, 24 (2016). [4]

He was also associated in the making of I Am That Change , a short film produced by Allu Arjun to mark the 68th Independence Day of India.

I is a 2015 Indian Tamil-language romantic action thriller film directed by S. Shankar, produced and distributed by V. Ravichandran under Aascar Films. The film stars Vikram, Amy Jackson and Suresh Gopi in lead roles, while Santhanam, Upen Patel, Ojas Rajani and Ramkumar Ganesan portray pivotal roles. The film, narrated in nonlinear narrative, tells the story of a bodybuilder-turned-supermodel Lingesan (Vikram), who sets out to exact revenge against his enemies after they turn him into a hunchback by injecting him with I virus. Manam (transl. Us) is a 2014 Indian Telugu-language fantasy drama film written and directed by Vikram Kumar, and produced by the Akkineni Family under the Annapurna Studios banner. The film stars Akkineni Nageswara Rao, Nagarjuna, Naga Chaitanya, Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Shriya Saran. The film is set in various time periods, over the course of a hundred years up until 2013, and deals with the concepts of rebirth and eternal love. The plot features a wealthy businessman, Nageswara Rao (Nagarjuna), attempting to bring a young couple together resembling his deceased parents and the elderly Chaitanya's attempts to bring the businessman and a doctor together. They resemble Chaitanya's deceased parents, who died because of a mistake committed by him in his childhood.

I Am That Change is a 2014 Indian Telugu-language short film directed by Sukumar and produced by actor Allu Arjun on Geetha Arts. Palasa 1978 is a 2020 Indian Telugu-language period action thriller film written and directed by Karuna Kumar in his directorial debut. The film stars Rakshith, Nakshatra, and Raghu Kunche who also composed the music. Prawin Yendamuri and Thiruveer play a supporting roles. The film is set in 1970s in Palasa, a town in Srikakulam district of Andhra Pradesh and revolves around the incidents related to caste discrimination and untouchability. The film was listed in the Film Companion's "Top 7 Telugu films of 2020" chart.
