Dr.Prem Singh [1] (23 September 1948 - 23 September 2011) was an Indian politician,social worker and six-time MLA from Sri Renukaji Assembly constituency as a member of the Indian National Congress party and former Chief Parliamentary Secretary of the Government of Himachal Pradesh. [2] Prem Singh was the father of Deputy Speaker Vinay Kumar who is the incumbent MLA for same constituency. [3]
Dr.Prem Singh was born on 23 September 1948 in a poorAgriculturist family of Vill.Maina Bagh,Shri Renuka Ji Sirmour of Himachal Pradesh.Dr.Prem saw severe hardships during his youthful years but his persistence and hard work resulted in him becoming an Veterinarian Doctor. [4]
Singh had a heart attack during his birthday celebration at his parents house on 23 September 2011. [5]

Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU),before 2015 known as the Uttar Pradesh Technical University (UPTU),is a public collegiate university in Lucknow,Uttar Pradesh,India. It was established as the Uttar Pradesh Technical University through the Government of Uttar Pradesh on 8 May 2000. To reduce workload and to ensure proper management,the university was bifurcated into separate universities,Gautam Buddh Technical University (GBTU) and Mahamaya Technical University (MTU),with effect from 1 May 2010. In 2013,as a new government came into power,the university was formed again by combining the two on 5 January 2013.
