"Pseudologia Fantastica" is a song by American indie pop band Foster the People. It is the fifth track on their second studio album Supermodel and was released digitally as the record's second single on February 25, 2014.
The music video for "Pseudologia Fantastica" was conceptualized and directed by the band's frontman Mark Foster, with additional direction and animation being carried out by Hannes/Johannes; it was uploaded to the band's official Vevo account to YouTube on June 24, 2014. [1]
A group of blind miners, are shown trying to mine for diamonds in a cleared area of a forest. They eventually strike diamonds, and an enchanted diamond emerges. It attracts every other diamond, and forms to create a wolf-like beast. The beast is shown with a greedy passion for diamonds. It creates birds that collect fish from the water, in the form of an assault rifle. Meanwhile, the miners are gathering in a city on an island, while a spiritual figure follows. The beast finally reaches the island, and is stationed on a building, and begins to act like a dictator, and orders the birds to collect the diamonds. The spirit reaches the city with flying creatures following it. The beast tries to fight it, casting a beam, but the creatures cast beams at it, creating a mass that outnumbers the beast, killing it. The enchanted diamond explodes, giving the miners vision, and they rejoice. The last shot shows the areas viewed empty, through a hand holding an enchanted diamond. The hand closes, and the film ends.

Nora O’Connor is an American, Chicago-based musician. Though primarily known for her vocals, O'Connor also plays guitar and bass. For much of 2013, O'Connor toured internationally as a singer in Iron and Wine. She also records and performs with longtime collaborator, Andrew Bird. O'Connor plays bass and sings back-up for Kelly Hogan and in 2010, Wilco's Jeff Tweedy enlisted O'Connor and Hogan as primary vocalists on gospel legend Mavis Staples’ Grammy Award-winning album You Are Not Alone. "'Black Diamond' was written almost exactly as it is," he said, "except that the riff wasn't there; Gene [Simmons] brought that part in … It's all about arrangement and embellishment. "Leilani" is the debut single by Australian rock group Hoodoo Gurus when they were called Le Hoodoo Gurus, released on Phantom Records in October 1982. It had been written by all four Gurus: James Baker, Dave Faulkner, Roddy Radalj and Kimble Rendall. Rendall left shortly before its release and, not long after, the band dropped the 'Le' to become Hoodoo Gurus. Le Hoodoo Gurus were noted for having three guitars and no bass player, creating a distinctive, layered sound. This was captured on "Leilani", which told the story of a maiden sacrificed to the gods and an erupting volcano while her true love looked on helplessly. A re-recorded version of the song was later released on Hoodoo Gurus' first album Stoneage Romeos (1984).

Little Comets are an English indie rock trio from Jarrow and Washington, Tyne and Wear. They are described as playing "kitchen sink indie" music. In early 2009 the band were signed to Columbia Records following numerous gigs in strange locations such as lecture theatres and various modes of public transport and support from DJ Huw Stephens. After departing their major record label they released their début album, In Search of Elusive Little Comets, on 31 January 2011. The band released their second album, Life is Elsewhere, on 15 October 2012 under Dirty Hit records.

Battle Beast is a Finnish heavy metal / power metal band established in Helsinki in 2005. The initial line-up consisted of guitarists, Juuso Soinio and Anton Kabanen, and drummer Pyry Vikki, who were high school friends. The rest of the original lineup, bassist Eero Sipilä, keytarist Janne Björkroth, and lead singer Nitte Valo, joined the band after auditions.
