Pseudopelastoneurus is a genus of flies in the family Dolichopodidae. [3] It includes two African species that were formerly classified in the genus Pelastoneurus . [4] [5]
Achradocera is a genus of flies in the family Dolichopodidae. It is distributed in the Nearctic and Neotropical realms as well as in Polynesia. Several Afrotropical species were also placed in the genus, but in 2018 they were transferred to Chrysotus. Achradocera was formerly considered a subgenus of Chrysotus, but was restored as a separate genus by Harold E. Robinson (1975).
Anasyntormon is a genus of flies in the family Dolichopodidae. It was originally placed in the subfamily Rhaphiinae near Syntormon. It was transferred to Dolichopodinae by Hans Ulrich (1980), who found it to be congeneric or closely related to Hercostomus.
Corindia is a genus of flies in the family Dolichopodidae. It is known mainly from the Afrotropical and Australasian realms, with a single species from the Palaearctic realm and an undescribed species also known from the Neotropical realm. The genus was first described in 1986 by Daniel J. Bickel, who originally considered it to be the sister group of the genus Thrypticus. Bickel later suggested that Corindia may represent a plesiomorphic and paraphlyetic assemblage from which Thrypticus arose.
Liancalomima is a genus of flies in the family Dolichopodidae.
Micromorphus is a genus of flies in the family Dolichopodidae.
Tenuopus is a genus of flies in the family Dolichopodidae. It is the only genus in the subfamily Tenuopodinae, which was created by Igor Grichanov in 2018. The genus was previously placed in the subfamily Neurigoninae, and it also shares some features of Peloropeodinae and Sciapodinae. All species are known from the Afrotropical realm.
Diaphorinae is a subfamily of flies in the family Dolichopodidae.
Afropelastoneurus is a genus of flies in the family Dolichopodidae. It includes five species from Africa formerly placed in Paracleius or Pelastoneurus.
Afroparaclius is a genus of flies in the family Dolichopodidae. It includes two species from Africa formerly placed in Paracleius.
Apelastoneurus is a genus of flies in the family Dolichopodidae. It includes 47 species from Africa formerly placed in Paracleius or Pelastoneurus.
Pseudargyrochlamys is a genus of flies in the family Dolichopodidae. It was first established by Igor Grichanov in 2006 for four species of Paracleius from eastern South Africa. A fifth species from South Africa was described in 2020. Members of the genus are restricted to the coast of southern Africa between East London in South Africa and Maputo in Mozambique. The genus is closely related to Argyrochlamys and Phoomyia, which are also found in coastal habitats.
Pseudoparaclius is a genus of flies in the family Dolichopodidae. It was established by Igor Grichanov in 2006, for 14 species from Africa that were originally placed in Paracleius. Two additional species were described in 2015 and 2020.
Dolichopus picipes is a species of fly in the family Dolichopodidae. It is found in the Palearctic.
Dolichopus simplex is a species of fly in the family Dolichopodidae. It is found in the Palearctic.
Dolichopus vitripennis is a species of fly in the family Dolichopodidae. It is found in the Palearctic.
Dolichopus nubilus is a species of fly in the family Dolichopodidae. It is found in the Palearctic.
Neohercostomus is a genus of flies in the family Dolichopodidae. Many of the species were formerly from "Hercostomus Group III", one of three groups of Afrotropical Hercostomus species created by Igor Grichanov in 1999.
Subhercostomus is a subgenus of Neohercostomus, a genus of flies in the family Dolichopodidae. The type species, N. turneri, was formerly from "Hercostomus Group III", one of three groups of Afrotropical Hercostomus species created by Igor Grichanov in 1999.
Afrohercostomus is a genus of flies in the family Dolichopodidae. Many of the species were formerly from "Hercostomus Group I", one of three groups of Afrotropical Hercostomus species created by Igor Grichanov in 1999.
Suschania is a genus of flies belonging to the family Dolichopodidae. It contains one species, Suschania stackelbergi, described from Primorsky Krai in the Russian Far East.
