Ptychodes politus is a species of beetle in the family Cerambycidae. It was described by Audinet-Serville in 1835. It is known from Guatemala, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Mexico, Panama, Honduras, Belize, and Nicaragua. [1]
Jean Guillaume Audinet-Serville was a French entomologist, born on 11 November 1775 in Paris. He died on 27 March 1858 in La Ferté-sous-Jouarre.
