Purr Pals is a pet simulation game by American studio Brain Toys in which the player takes care of a kitten. It was published by Crave Entertainment in 2007 and is sponsored by Purina. [4]

There was also a sequel released on May 12, 2012 called Purr Pals: Purrfection. [5]

Reception

The game holds a 67 rating on review site Metacritic based on 4 reviews for the DS version. [4]

IGN rated the game a 6.5 of 10 saying There's one last reason the title can't score higher than it does, though, and it's not the too-frequent need to feed mentioned above – it's game-ending crashes. [6] PALGN rated the game a 7 of 10 saying "Purr Pals is a great alternative to Nintendogs and is a game that is a lot of fun for kitten lovers". [8]

Jinny Gudmundsen from The Star Press rated the game a 2.5 of 5 saying "Video game offers cute but flawed simulation for cat lovers". [7]

The highest-rated review comes from Nintendo Gamer who rated the game a 77 of 100 saying "Not entirely convincing, and far less smooth than Nintendo's unnamed dog-related game. But it's well put-together feline fun with minigames". [4]

Crosswords DS is a puzzle video game developed by American studio Nuevo Retro games released by Nintendo for the Nintendo DS handheld video game console. It was previously released in Australia as CrossworDS but a new OFLC entry confirmed that Nintendo Australia re-released it with a European localization. Crosswords DS features over 1,000 crossword puzzles that the player solves by using the stylus. Despite the title, it also features word search puzzles and anagram puzzles. It makes use of similar handwriting mechanics that the Brain Age titles make use of. Crosswords DS is included in the Touch! Generations series of titles, which includes such popular games as Brain Age: Train Your Brain in Minutes a Day! and Nintendogs. The background music was composed by Fabian Del Priore.

Cooking Mama is a cookery simulation-styled minigame compilation video game for the Nintendo DS, and it was later ported to iOS as Cooking Mama: Lets Cook! in 2015. It was developed by Office Create and published by Taito, Majesco Entertainment, and 505 Games. It was awarded IGN's "Best Of E3" award for 2006. It is the start of the Cooking Mama series, with 4 more main series titles on DS and Nintendo 3DS, two spin offs on Wii, and a spin off on 3DS. It also spins off into the Gardening Mama series. For later titles in the series, the publishers and Office Create joined together to form Cooking Mama Limited, which was made exclusively to develop the Cooking Mama series.

<i>Chronos Twins</i> 2007 video game

Chronos Twins, known in the PAL region as Chronos Twin, is an action-adventure game developed by Spanish studio EnjoyUP Games, released in the PAL region in 2007. It was also released in North America on January 18, 2010 and in Europe on May 14, 2010 as a download for the Nintendo DSi system. The game puts a different perspective on time travel than most games. Instead of revisiting an area in two different times, both screens show the same setting during two eras as gamers explore the land with a present-day hero. Chronos Twins was originally planned for release for Game Boy Advance, but after the rise of the Nintendo DS, the game's development switched to that system. An enhanced version for the Wii console entitled Chronos Twins DX was released in North America as a WiiWare download one week prior to the Nintendo DSi release. Bleach: Dark Souls, known in Japan as Bleach DS 2nd Kokui Hirameku Requiem is the second Bleach game for the Nintendo DS. <i>Brain Assist</i> 2007 video game

Brain Assist, known in Japan as Touch de Uno! DS, is a puzzle video game released for the Nintendo DS in Japan, North America, and the PAL regions. Studies in the 1960s demonstrated the lateralization of brain function. The left-brain hemisphere deals with sequential analysis - reasoning using language, mathematics, abstraction and reasoning. Memory is primarily stored in a language format. The right-brain hemisphere deals with auditory, visual, and spatial concepts dancing and gymnastics, which is what the game aims to stimulate in the player.

Top Spin 2 is a 2006 tennis video game developed by Indie Built, MENT, and Aspyr and originally published by 2K and Superscape. It is the sequel to Top Spin and is followed by Top Spin 3.

Multiple video games based on the 2000 Nick Jr. television show Dora the Explorer have been released. Most of these games have received a mixed critical reception. Unlike other video games, these were not released in Asia, due to the TV show having less interest in that continent than North America and Europe. A number of other video games were released exclusively for the Nick Jr. website, such as Dora's 3D Driving Adventure, and Dora's 3D Pyramid Adventure.
