Purushottam Agrawal (born 25 August 1955) is an Indian writer and former member of the Union Public Service Commission board. [1] [2] [3] [4] [5]
Born on 25 August 1955 in the city of Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh, he completed his MA in political science from Jiwaji University (Gwalior) in 1977. Later, he moved to Delhi, for an MA in Hindi literature at Jawaharlal Nehru University, and, in 1985, a PhD focusing on "The Social Meaning of Kabir's Bhakti" supervised by Namvar Singh.
From 2 July 2007 to July 2013, he was a member of the Union Public Service Commission, New Delhi. [6] [7] [8]
He was anchor and interviewer on the television show 'Kitab', telecast on Rajya Sabha TV (now Sansad TV). [9]
Vaidyanath Mishra, better known by his pen name Nagarjun, was a Hindi and Maithili poet who has also penned a number of novels, short stories, literary biographies and travelogues, and was known as Janakavi- the People's Poet. He is regarded as the most prominent protagonist of modernity in Maithili.

He was popularly known as UP Gandhi. He was awarded the Bharat Ratna, India's highest civilian award, in 1961.

Kranti (transl. Revolution) is a 1981 Indian historical drama film, produced, edited, dialogue and directed by Manoj Kumar, with the story and screenplay written by Salim–Javed. It stars an ensemble cast, consisting of Dilip Kumar in the title role along with Manoj Kumar, Shashi Kapoor, Shatrughan Sinha, Hema Malini, Parveen Babi in pivotal roles. The film also marked the return of Dilip Kumar after a four-year hiatus. It ranks among the top 10 highest grossing Indian films of all time, when adjusted for ticket-price inflation. It was one of the most expensive Indian films of the time and it went on to become the highest grossing Indian film of the 1980s decade by a distance, when adjusted for inflation. Kranti is the biggest patriotic hit ever seen in India. It was the second highest grossing Indian film ever behind Sholay (1975) at the time of its release. However, it did higher business than Sholay in its original run. It grossed ₹20 crore as compared to ₹15 crore of Sholay in the original run. Sholay did exceptionally well in re-runs earning more profit in the meanwhile period.
Swami Karpatri (1907–1980) born as Har Narayan Ojha was a Hindu saint and revivalist, who founded Akhil Bharatiya Ram Rajya Parishad. He was also a writer and lead many pro-Hindu movements such as cow protection movement and was a vocal critic of the Sangh Parivar and Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh.
