QFX are an electronic dance music group formed in 1992. Their music style is generally a mix of bouncy techno and happy hardcore.
The band members included are Kirk Turnbull (songwriter & producer), Heather Allan Finnie (vocals), Debbie Hudspeth Duncan (Stage Performer), Paul Giff (MC), David Goonery (Dancer), Jacob Callaghan (DJ / Producer). The band are joined on stage by Amy Davies, Lauren Black, Jackie nicoal. Previous members include, Neil Trotter MC, Steven Lawes MC, Debbie Hudspeth (vocals), Stevie Scott (dancer from 2000 to 2002), David Walker (dancer/remixer and DJ), Barry Brown (dancer), and Brian Nelly (dancer), Natalie Estelle James (vocals), and Neil Trotter (MC) In December 1994, they released their first album, entitled Freedom. [1] It reached number 5 in the UK Indie Chart. Freedom stayed on that Top 20 list for fourteen weeks. In January 1996, QFX covered the Moby track, "Everytime You Touch Me", which propelled QFX into the UK Singles Chart at number 22 and Scottish Singles Chart at number 2. [2] This led to an appearance on BBC Television's Top of the Pops . In July 1996, the band released "You Got The Power", which reached #33 in the same UK chart. [2] QFX also remixed songs for other musicians, including Gala with "Freed from Desire", which reached No. 2 in the UK in 1997.
QFX released Seven albums, [1] and had 8 UK Top 40 hit singles, [2] including a Scottish Singles Chart #1 single with "Freedom 2" in January 1997. They were featured on over 20 compilation albums worldwide.[ citation needed ].
In early 2010, they released QFX The Anthems 1995 -2010, which included all their hits, plus their remixes and featured special guest remixes, producers, and vocalists. [3]
In 2015, QFX are still doing a Live PA, with original members Kirk Turnbull, Heather Allan Finnie, David Goonery, with their new MC Paul Giff (joined 2018). The band are currently touring the UK, celebrating their 30th year since they formed, including headlining many music and dance festivals. [4]
QFX launched Dance Anthems in March 2013 and have spent the last few years touring the UK with their brand new stage show. The concept of the show incorporates QFX covers of the best dance tracks in the club scene from the 1990s and early 2000s, as well as updated mixes of QFX tracks and originals. An album entitled "Dance Anthems" was released later in that year.

Sister Sledge was an American musical vocal group from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Formed in 1971, the group consists of sisters Joni, Kim, Debbie, and Kathy Sledge. The siblings achieved international success at the height of the disco era. In 1979, they released their breakthrough album We Are Family, which peaked at number three on the Billboard 200 and included the 1979 US top-10 singles "He's the Greatest Dancer" and "We Are Family". "We Are Family" earned a Grammy Award nomination for Best R&B Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocal.
Eurythmics were a British new wave duo formed in 1980, consisting of Scottish vocalist Annie Lennox and English musician and producer Dave Stewart. They were both previously in the Tourists, a band that broke up in 1980. They released their first studio album, In the Garden, in 1981 to little success, but achieved global acclaim with their second album, Sweet Dreams (1983). The title track became a worldwide hit, reaching number two in the UK Singles Chart, and number one in Canada and the US Billboard Hot 100. Eurythmics went on to release a string of hit singles and albums, including "Love Is a Stranger", "There Must Be an Angel " and "Here Comes the Rain Again", before splitting in 1990.
Nicholas Bracegirdle, known professionally as Chicane, is an English musician, DJ, composer, songwriter, and record producer. Among his works are singles "Offshore", an Ibiza trance anthem included in many compilations in both chill-out and dance versions; "Saltwater", which featured vocals by Clannad member Máire Brennan, and the UK number-one hit "Don't Give Up", featuring vocals by Bryan Adams, which also became a top ten hit on singles charts across Europe and Australia.
Grace was a 1990s British dance music act, consisting of the DJs Paul Oakenfold and Steve Osborne and the jazz singer Dominique Atkins. The group's first single, "Not Over Yet", had lead and backing vocals by the original frontwoman Patti Low. Atkins recorded her own lead vocals for "Not Over Yet" when it was included as the first track on the group's only album If I Could Fly.

Rosie Gaines is an American singer, songwriter and record producer from Pittsburg, California. Gaines is a former band member of Prince's group the New Power Generation. She duetted with singer Prince on the hit song "Diamonds and Pearls". She released a number of dance hits, the most notable being "Closer than Close", which made the top 10 on the UK Singles Chart in 1997.
"Rapture" is a song by American rock band Blondie from their fifth studio album Autoamerican (1980). Written by band members Debbie Harry and Chris Stein, and produced by Mike Chapman, the song was released as the second and final single from Autoamerican on January 12, 1981, by Chrysalis Records. Musically, "Rapture" is a combination of new wave, disco and hip hop with a rap section forming an extended coda.
"Sing It Back" is a song written and performed by Irish-English electronic music duo Moloko. It first appeared in its original version on Moloko's second album, I Am Not a Doctor (1998); it was released as a single on 8 March 1999, reaching number 45 on the UK Singles Chart. The song experienced chart success after it was remixed by DJ Boris Dlugosch, peaking at number four in the UK in September 1999. Murphy had started writing the lyrics while clubbing in New York City, and knew the song was at heart a dance track, but the group wanted to record it in a different artistic fashion for its album version.
"Silence" is a song by Canadian electronic music group Delerium featuring Canadian singer and co-writer Sarah McLachlan, first released as a single in May 1999. Over the years, its remixes have been hailed as one of the greatest trance songs of all time, over two decades after its initial release. The Tiësto remix of the song was voted by Mixmag readers as the 12th-greatest dance record of all time.
"Not Over Yet" is a song by British dance act Grace. Originally released in 1993 under the band name State of Grace, it was re-released in March 1995 as the first single from their only album, If I Could Fly (1996). It received critical acclaim from music critics, peaking at number six on the UK Singles Chart and number-one on the US Billboard Hot Dance Music/Club Play chart. Lead vocals and backing vocals were performed by singer Patti Low. In 1995, the lead vocals were replaced by new frontwoman and singer, Dominique Atkins for the album release, although Low's backing vocals remained in place. This Atkins/Low combination appeared on all subsequent re-releases and remixes of the track. The woman who appears in the accompanying music video is Low.

Forget the World is the debut studio album by Dutch music producer and DJ Afrojack. It was released on 16 May 2014. Afrojack said of the album title, "It's basically a message not just to my fans, but also to myself, to always remember to keep following your heart, keep following your path, and never try to let the things around you get you down."

Greatest Hits is the first compilation album by English boy band Five. It was released in the United Kingdom through RCA Records on 19 November 2001, just three months after the release of their third studio album, Kingsize. "Closer to Me" and "Rock the Party" was released as double single on United Kingdom and Ireland. The album was executively produced by Simon Cowell and Richard "Biff" Stannard. In other countries, the songs were released as separate singles. The songs were included in the previous album Kingsize (2001).

"Spectrum" is a song by English indie rock band Florence and the Machine from their second studio album Ceremonials (2011). It was written by lead singer Florence Welch and Paul Epworth with production being handled by Epworth. The band premiered the song during a concert at Brooklyn's Creators Project on 15 October 2011, prior to the release of the album. The album version of "Spectrum" is a downtempo orchestral pop, dance-pop and disco song. The accompanying music video for the song premiered on 30 May 2012. It was directed by David LaChapelle and John Byrne.
"What I Did for Love" is a song by French music producer David Guetta. It was released as the third single from his sixth studio album, Listen (2014). It features vocals by Scottish recording artist Emeli Sandé. It was released officially on 20 February 2015 in the United Kingdom. The song was written by Guetta, Giorgio Tuinfort, Breyan Stanley Isaac, Jason Evigan, Sam Martin, and Sean Douglas. Japanese recording artist Namie Amuro recorded an alternate version of the song for inclusion on her album Genic and Japanese edition of Listen Again, this version was released as a promotional single on 1 July 2015.
"Desire" is a song by English synthpop band Years & Years from their debut studio album, Communion (2015). It was released on 23 November 2014 as the album's third single. Written by Years & Years and Kid Harpoon, the song peaked at number 22 on the UK Singles Chart.
