Qiao Chuanxi (born 1954 in Shou County,Anhui Province) is the current Chairwoman of Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) Zhejiang Provincial Committee. Qiao joined the Chinese Communist Party in 1973. [1]
The Two Qiaos of Jiangdong were two sisters of the Qiao family who lived during the late Eastern Han dynasty of China.
Qiao Zong was a Han Chinese military leader in present-day Sichuan province in China during the Eastern Jin Dynasty. He proclaimed himself the Prince of Chengdu in 405 and was given the title "Prince of Shu" by Yao Xing,ruler of the Later Qin,in 409. His state is therefore sometimes known as Western Shu. His self-governing body coordinated offensive campaigns with Later Qin along the Yangtze River until Qiao's state was destroyed by a campaign under military subordinates of Liu Yu in 413.

The Qiao Family Compound,originally the Zaizhong Hall and officially Qiao's Grand Courtyard, is a courtyard house located in Qi County,Jinzhong Prefecture,Shanxi Province,China,approximately 30 kilometers (20 mi) northeast of Pingyao. It is the residential compound of well-known financier Qiao Zhiyong,who was the most famous member of the Qiao family. Construction began in 1756 during the reign of the Qianlong Emperor in the Qing dynasty and was completed sometime in the 18th century. The estate covers 9000 square meters and has 313 rooms with 4000 square meters within 6 large courtyards and 19 smaller courtyards.
