Querim or Keri is a village on the river mouth of the Tiracol River, part of the Pernem sub-division of North Goa, India. It is the northwesternmost point of the state, known for Querim Beach, the historic Church of St. Francis Xavier and a nearby Portuguese fortress. [1]

A road connects the village to nearby Paliyem, and a ferry connects to Tiracol. [2] The closest is Pernem.

Querim Beach

Querim Beach is the sandy coastline of the Querim village. It is the largest northernmost beach in Goa. The beach comprises a long stretch of sand with a few rocky outcrops, rows of trees and a river inlet of Tiracol River. It is located to the north of the Arambol beach and village, but in order to reach there by foot, one has to walk through the hill and jungle between a Sweet Water Lake in Paliyem. Pernem is a northmost administrative region or sub-district in North Goa.It acts as the Gateway of Goa from Maharashtra side. It is also the name of the town of Pernem, which is its headquarters. It has a Municipal Council. Tillari (Forebay) Dam Dam in Chandgad

Tilari (Forebay) Dam is situated in Dodamarg Taluka, in the Indian state of Maharashtra and the largest one is situated in Chandgad taluk of Kolhapur District in Maharashtra and is constructed on Tilari River as the result of a joint project by the Maharashtra and Goa governments. The water from this dam is distributed to both states. The dam is located near the border of Maharashtra and Karnataka and necessitated the relocation of several villages in the area. Chapora Fort Fort in Goa, India

Terekhol River

The Terekhol River is a river in western India. In its upper reaches it is known as the Banda River and in the lower reaches as the Tiracol. The Tiracol rises in the environs of the Manohargad in the Western Ghats and flows in a south-westerly direction to meet the Arabian Sea.

Chapora River

Chapora River is a river in northern Goa, India. It runs westward into the Arabian sea at Chapora and demarcates the border between the North Goa talukas of Pernem and Bardez. The river originates at Ramghat in the neighbouring state of Maharashtra enters Goa and flows into the Arabian Sea. Vagator Beach, a tourist destination, is located at the estuary to the south, and to the north is the village of Morjim. There is a bridge across Chapora from Morjim to Siolim. It is located to the north of the Arambol beach, but in order to reach there by foot, one has to walk through the hill and jungle between the Paliem Sweet Water Lake and Querim Beach. Querim is 30 Kilometers from Mapusa. From the north side of Querim beach, one can see a restaurant and bar on a high hill on the Tiracol side of the Tiracol River. There is also a resort by the name "Hotel Hill Rock" next to it, which is known for its peaceful atmosphere and has a small but well equipped Bistro on the property. On the highest most cliff at the Tiracol side is the Fort Tiracol, which is now converted into a heritage hotel.

Pirna, Goa village in Goa, India
