The Quilter Cup (formerly the Old Mutual Wealth Cup) is a rugby union trophy awarded to the winner of the annual test/non-test match between England and other home nations as well as Barbarians. It is currently the Barbarians since their victory in 2022.

Creation of the trophy was revealed on 2 December 2015 when RFU announced a four-year partnership with Old Mutual Wealth, part of Old Mutual. [1]

The inaugural Old Mutual Wealth Cup match was won by England, who beat Wales 27–13 at Twickenham Stadium on 29 May 2016. [2]

From 2018 the competition was renamed to reflect the new name of the sponsor Quilter plc. [3]

This led to the demerger of Quilter plc and the unbundling of its shareholding in Nedbank. The business, which is now largely based in South Africa, provides sponsorship and supports bursaries at South African universities.

Henry James Harvey Slade is an English professional rugby union player. He plays for the Exeter Chiefs in Premiership Rugby and represents England at international level. His primary position is centre but he has also played at fly-half and full-back.

In June 2014, England played a three test series against New Zealand as part of the 2014 mid-year rugby union tests. They played the All Blacks across the three weeks that the June International window is allocated to; 7 June–21 June, and contested the Hillary Shield, in which England has won once to New Zealand's four. The series was part of the second year of the global rugby calendar established by the International Rugby Board, which runs through to 2019. In addition to the test series, England also played Super Rugby side Crusaders, in a mid-week uncapped match ahead of the third test in Hamilton. They also played the Barbarians at Twickenham, for their annual meeting at the stadium before the tour.

The 2020 mid-year rugby union internationals were international rugby union matches that were planned to be played during the July international window. They were all postponed or cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The 2020–21 RFU Championship, also known as the 2020–21 Greene King IPA Championship for sponsorship reasons, was the twelfth season of the RFU Championship, the professional second tier of rugby union in England. It featured ten English teams and one from Jersey. The competition was sponsored by Greene King for the eighth successive season. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic in the United Kingdom, this season featured a truncated timeframe of just 16 weeks with a later start and fewer rounds.
