106 & Park is an American hip hop and R&B music video show, set up in a countdown format, that was broadcast on weekdays at 6:00 pm ET/5:00 pm CT on BET; it aired on a one-day delay on BET International. It was the network's highest-rated show throughout its run. On November 14, 2014, BET cancelled 106 & Park, with an alleged shift to a digital-only format, with occasional specials during network event programming, though the last time it was seen in any form was the 2016 BET Experience, and the digital-only program never aired.

Headquartered in Silver Spring, Maryland, TV One's programming targets African American adults with a broad mixture of original lifestyle and entertainment-oriented series, documentaries, films, music performances and reruns of sitcoms from the 1970s through the 2000s.
Video LP is a half-hour, live viewer call-in program that debuted in 1986 on BET. It primarily showcased R&B/Soul and Hip-Hop music videos. The original hostess was Robin Breedon, but the most well-known host was Sherry Carter from 1989 until 1992, when she moved on to co-host Video Soul from 1992-1996). Madelyne Woods also served as hostess for a short time.
Planet Groove is a music oriented talk show that premiered in late-1996 on BET, when the short-lived Unreal was cancelled. This show's hostess was Rachel Stuart. Like Video Soul, the show had a primetime slot, airing from 8PM-10PM as a 2-hour long music video program. It also had a Top-20 countdown on Fridays as well.

In addition, the company was facing issues after MTV was banned from producing any more Super Bowl halftime shows after the Super Bowl XXXVIII halftime show controversy in 2004.

He is widely recognized for his pioneering role as General Manager and Head of Programming of FOX Soul for FOX Broadcasting Network, and is credited as founder of In The Black Network, an advertising-based video on demand streaming network technically operated through Brightcove Inc.
