Rafael Alfaro Ferracuti (born 4 February 1992) is a Salvadoran swimmer who competed in the men's 400m individual medley. [1] At the 2012 Summer Olympics he finished 35th overall in the heats in the men's 400-metre individual medley.
He also competed at the 2015 Pan American Games. [2]
As of January 2025, he holds the Salvadoran record in the men's 50 m breaststroke, 100 m breaststroke (short course) and 200 m breaststroke, 200 m and 400 m medley (long course). [3]
He is the nephew of Piero Ferracuti, who also competed for El Salvador in two swimming events at the 1972 Summer Olympics. [4] He attended Brigham Young University and swam for their colleagiate swimming team. [5]
Medley swimming is a combination of four different swimming strokes into one race. This race is either swum by one swimmer as individual medley (IM) or by four swimmers as a medley relay.

Viatcheslav Sinkevich is a Russian swimmer. At the 2012 Summer Olympics, he competed in the Men's 200 metre breaststroke, finishing in 9th place overall in the heats, qualifying for the semi-final, but failing to reach the final. Ratapong "Nuk" Sirisanont is a Thai former swimmer, who specialized in breaststroke, but also competed in long-distance freestyle and individual medley. He is a four-time Olympian, a three-time Asian Games participant, and a seven-time SEA Games athlete (1991–2003). Regarded as Thailand's top swimmer, he has won a total of sixteen medals at the Southeast Asian Games since 1995, and six at the Asian Games, including two golds in the 200 and 400 m individual medley. At the 1996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta, Sirisanont became the first Thai swimmer to reach the final twice. Sirisanont is also one of three Southeast Asian swimmers, along with Malaysia's Alex Lim and Philippines' Miguel Molina, to train for the California Golden Bears in the United States, under head coach Nort Thornton.

He is the world record holder in the long course 400 metres individual medley and short course 200 metres individual medley; the Olympic record holder in the 200 metres butterfly, the 200 metres breaststroke, the 200 metres individual medley and the 400 metres individual medley; and the French record holder in the long course 200 metre individual medley, 200 metre butterfly and 200 metre breaststroke. At the 2024 Summer Olympics, he won gold medals in the 200 m medley, 200 metre breaststroke, 200 metre butterfly, and 400 metre medley. He became the fourth swimmer and third male swimmer in Olympic history to win four individual gold medals at a single Games.
