Rakhni (also known as Rakni) is a town and union council of Barkhan District in the Balochistan, Pakistan. [1] It is located at an altitude of 1093 metres (3589 feet) close to Punjab and Balochistan border near Fort Munro. [2]
The major source of income is livestock. Sixty percent of people earn through livestock, thirty percent through cultivation and the remaining ten percent through other professions.
Khetrani and Hasanki is the main language and Balochi is also spoken.
In summer the weather is usually hot. In winter, there is snow on the nearest mountains peaks.
Men wear baggy Balochi shalwar and women wear Balochi dress.

The Khetrans are an ethnolinguistic group primarily native to Barkhan in Balochistan and Dera Ghazi Khan in Punjab, Pakistan. The total population was estimated to be about 150,000 in 2017, at least two-thirds of which are speakers of their native Khetrani, an Indo-Aryan language. A sizeable population in Barkhan can speak Balochi, while Khetrans who have settled to the east in the Dera Ghazi Khan speak Saraiki. and the others in areas of kpk speak pashtu

Harboi is a mountain range located in the Kalat District of Balochistan, Pakistan. It is located at 29°3'0N 66°43'0 E and is 9,000 feet high, and unlike most of the mountains in the area, which are black and barren, the Harboi contains juniper trees and picturesque scenery. The local people living in these areas are not provided with the basic necessities of life. So, they exploit the forest resources for fuel, shelter and uses as firewood for daily use; timber for construction of hutment and hedges around agricultural fields by the local communities is resulting in change in the environment and endangering the rare species of wildlife.
