Rambhau Mhalgi Prabodhini is a not-for-profit organisation established in memory of the Rambhau Mhalgi. [1] Established in 1982, RMP is a learning and research organisation for government leadership aspirants and current government leaders of India. [2] RMP has been granted special consultative status by the United Nations Economic and Social Council. [3] [4] The organization operates nationally through its offices in Delhi, [5] Pune, Mumbai, and its headquarters in Thane. [6] Since its establishment in 1982, RMP has trained many government leaders. . [3]

RMP is often linked with the Bharatiya Janata Party and right-wing Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh outfit. [7] [6] [8] [9] It is a recognized research centre by Mumbai University. [10] [11]

RMP government leadership training mission was implemented first at the behest of parliamentarian Rambhau Mhalgi. Mhalgi was influenced by RSS thinker and BJP leader Deendayal Upadhyaya, who had conceived the idea of a learning establishment for government leadership aspirants and current government leaders of India. [10] In 1982, Pramod Mahajan, senior BJP leader, opened Rambhau Mhalgi Prabodhini at Keshav Srushti campus at Uttan village, near Bhayandar. [12] [13]

In January 2020, the Congress party objected to training government officials at RMP citing right-wing political leaning of RMP. [14] [15]

He also served as 2nd Chief Minister of Uttarakhand from 2001 to 2002 and thereafter, was the leader of the opposition in the Uttarakhand Legislative Assembly from 2002 to 2003. He also served as an MLC in Uttar Pradesh Legislative Council and MLA in Uttarakhand Legislative Assembly. He is the Vice Chairman of Rambhau Mhalgi Prabodhini, a research and training academy for elected representatives & social activists. As Member of Parliament, he has also served as the Chairman of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Education, Women, Children and Youth & Sports. He is regarded as one of the foremost intellectuals from the BJP, the ruling party in the Central Government and the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), a Hindu Nationalist organization.

Keshav Srushti is a nature retreat of about 150–200 acres (61–81 ha), located at Uttan village, in the northern Mumbai suburb of Bhayander, India. It is a unified campus of several organisations, run by the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh, in the memory of its founder Dr. Keshav Baliram Hegdewar.

The Mumbai Marathi Grantha Sangrahalaya (MMGS) is a public library in Mumbai, India. It is one of India's oldest libraries, founded in 1898. It has a collection of more than 645,569 Marathi books, some of which are rare and over 200 years old. The library was used by various notable personalities and Marathi scholars, including Bal Gangadhar Tilak and B. R. Ambedkar. It was declared as a special museum by the Ministry of Higher and Technical Education (Maharashtra) in 2019.
