Ramkumar Singh is an Indian screenwriter, Hindi fiction writer, film lyricist, film critic and a columnist.
He was born at Birania, Fatehpur Shekhawati (Rajasthan) in 1975.
His short stories have appeared in literary journals and translated into some other Indian languages. His short story collection Bhobhar tatha anya kahaniyaṅ was published by Lokayat Prakashan, Jaipur in 2012. For this book, he won the Rangey Rraghav Katha Samman, the highest award for fiction by Rajasthan Sahitya Academy.
His debut novel, the political satire Zed Plus, was published by Rajkamal Prakashan in 2015. He wrote the screenplay for the subsequent film Zed Plus by Chandraprakash Dwivedi that was based this novel. The Rajasthani Film Bhobhar , based on his story, was screened at various Indian and international film festivals.
He was nominated for best story in 21st LifeOk screen awards (for Zed Plus) and 1st Indo-Arab Bollywood Awards (AIBA2015).
He wrote dialogue for the film Sarkar 3 .
He has written the lyrics for highly acclaimed film Anarkali of Arrah. His song ‘Dunaliya mein Jung’ was among the chartbusters of year 2017.

He won four National Film Awards in India, and internationally his films won Palme d'Or at Cannes Film Festival and the Crystal Globe at Karlovy Vary International Film Festival. As a director and screenwriter, Khwaja Ahmad Abbas is considered one of the pioneers of Indian parallel or neo-realistic cinema.

Nirmal Verma was a Hindi writer, novelist, activist and translator. He is credited as being one of the pioneers of the Nai Kahani literary movement of Hindi literature, wherein his first collection of stories, Parinde (Birds) is considered its first signature.

Krishna Sobti was an Indian Hindi-language fiction writer and essayist. She won the Sahitya Akademi Award in 1980 for her novel Zindaginama and in 1996, was awarded the Sahitya Akademi Fellowship, the highest award of the Akademi. In 2017, she received the Jnanpith Award for her contribution to Indian literature.
Dr. Chandraprakash Dwivedi is an Indian actor, film director and screenwriter, who is best known for directing the 1991 television epic Chanakya in which he also played the title role of the political strategist Chanakya and an inspiration for millions. He has also directed the 1996 television series Mrityunjay which is based on the life of Karna, the main protagonist of the epic Mahabharata, and he won a Screen Videocon Best Director award for the same. His other major work is the 2003 film Pinjar, a tragic love story set amidst the Hindu-Muslim tensions during the Partition of India, based on Amrita Pritam's novel of the same name.
Alok Mehta is an Indian journalist, TV broadcaster and writer. In 2009, he received the civilian honour of Padma Shri from the Government of India. Mehta's work has focused on issues of social welfare, including education for minorities and healthcare facilities.
Sampooran Singh Kalra, known professionally as Gulzar, is an Indian poet, lyricist, author, screenwriter, and film director known for his works in Hindi cinema. He started his career with music director S.D. Burman as a lyricist in the 1963 film Bandini and worked with many music directors including R. D. Burman, Salil Chowdhury, Vishal Bhardwaj and A. R. Rahman. Gulzar also writes poetry, dialogues and scripts. He directed films such as Aandhi and Mausam during the 1970s and the TV series Mirza Ghalib in the 1980s. He also directed Kirdaar in 1993.
Thakur Kesari Singh Barhath was a prominent Indian revolutionary leader, freedom fighter, and educationist from Rajasthan. He was the patriarch of the Barhath family, members of which actively participated in anti-British activities including his son Kunwar Pratap Singh Barhath and his brother Thakur Zorawar Singh Barhath. Kesari Singh was notable for being a high-priority revolutionary to be monitored by the British CID. He is also known as Rajasthan Kesari.
Ram Sarup Ankhi was an Indian writer, poet, and novelist who wrote in Punjabi. He started as a poet but ended up as a fiction writer. He was awarded the Sahitya Akademi Award by the Sahitya Akademi, India's National Academy of Letters in 1987 for his novel Kothe Kharak Singh.
Gurvinder Singh is an Indian film director. He is best known for his Punjabi language films Anhe Ghore Da Daan, and Chauthi Koot which premiered at Venice and Cannes Film Festival respectively. Gurvinder is an alumnus of the prestigious Film and Television Institute of India (FTII), Pune from where he studied film-making and graduated in 2001. He travelled extensively through Punjab between 2002 and 2006, living and traveling with folk itinerants, documenting folk ballads and oral narratives. It led to his first documentary 'Pala'. He continued to make short experimental works and documenting arts/artists for the next few years. In 2005 he was invited by avant-garde Indian filmmaker Mani Kaul to be his teaching assistant for a master-class at FTII, which led to a close association with the filmmaker who became his mentor. He translated and published a book of conversations of Udayan Vajpeyi with Mani Kaul, titled 'Uncloven Space'. His latest film is 'Infiltrator' starring Veer Rajwant Singh which is a 15-minute short story in an international omnibus called 'In the same garden'
Kashinath Singh is an Indian writer and scholar of Hindi language and known for writing novels and short stories in Hindi. He was formerly a professor of Hindi literature in Banaras Hindu University. He received the Sahitya Akademi Award in 2011 for his novel Rehan Par Ragghu, and is considered one of the best chroniclers of the city of Varanasi. He has recently received 'Bharat Bharti Award', the state's highest literary award given by U.P. government.
Teji Grover is a Hindi poet, fiction writer, translator and painter. According to poet and critic Ashok Vajpeyi, "Teji Grover shapes her language away from the prevalent idiom of Hindi poetry. In her poetry language acquires a form which is unique..." Her poems have been translated into many Indian and foreign languages.

Aalok's works have won a number of accolades for his works, including the International Pushkin Award and Dushyant Kumar Award by Madhya Pradesh Sahitya Akademi.
