Ranam is a 2021 Indian Kannada-language film written and directed by V Samudra, and produced by Kanakapura Srinivas starring Chiranjeevi Sarja, Deepti Sati, Chetan Kumar and Varalaxmi Sarathkumar with a music score by Ravi Shankar and Chinna and cinematography by Niranjan Babu it was released in India on 26 March 2021. The film marks Sarja's penultimate and posthumous appearance following his untimely demise on 7 June 2020. [1]

The story tells about four students who take it upon themselves to solve the problems being faced by farmers and decide to take on corrupt politicians.

Ranam is 21st cinema for the producer R Srinivas The film was supposed to be released in 2020 itself due to COVID-19 the move had a delayed-release. According to the plane, the movie was supposed to be released as the first Kannada move after lockdown. [2] Ranam will be last film for Late Chiranjeevi Sarja [3]

Reception

Reviewing Ranam for The Times of India, Sunayana Suresh gave two stars from five. Suresh concluded: "Chiranjeevi, as the tough cop, is good, but the rest of the film does not hold up to that" [4] [2] [5] [3] [6]

Prema Baraha, titled Sollividava in Tamil, is a 2018 Indian romantic drama film written and directed by Arjun Sarja. It was produced by his wife Niveditha Arjun under his home studio of Sree Raam Films International, and made simultaneously in Kannada and Tamil languages. The film stars Chandan Kumar and Aishwarya Arjun, with different ensemble casts for the two versions. Jassie Gift composed the soundtrack and score. H. C. Venugopal was director of photography and Kay Kay edited the film. The two versions of the film were released worldwide on 9 February 2018. During its release, this film had a grand opening and it became a commercial success at the box office of Karnataka, but had a decent run in Tamil.

Shivarjuna is a 2020 Indian Kannada-language masala film written and directed by Shiva Thejas. The film is being produced by M B Manjula Shivarjun. It features Chiranjeevi Sarja and Amrutha Iyengar along with Akshatha Srinivas in the lead roles. The supporting cast includes Kishore, Tara, Avinash, Kuri Prathap. The score and soundtrack were composed by Surag Kokila, while the cinematography and editing were handled by H C Venu and K. M. Prakash. The film is the remake of the 2004 Tamil film Giri starring Chiranjeevi's uncle Arjun Sarja in the lead role.

Guru Deshpande is an Indian film director, producer and distributor, known for his work in Kannada film industry. He is well known for Raja Huli starring Yash and Meghana Raj. In 2019, Guru Deshpande turned produced launching his banner G Cinemas and started a Film Institute under the name G Academy in Bengaluru.
