Randi L. Clites (born September 2,1975) is an American politician. In 2018,Clites was elected to the Ohio House of Representatives from the 75th district. Prior to her election to the Ohio House,Clites was a healthcare nonprofit executive,serving in leadership roles with the Northern Ohio Hemophilia Foundation and the Ohio Bleeding Disorders Council,among others.
She was born and raised in Ravenna Township. [1] Upon being elected for District 75,she was the associate director of the Northern Ohio Hemophilia Foundation,and was an advocacy coordinator for the Ohio Bleeding Disorders Council. [2]
After claiming the nomination in a three-way primary election,Clites was elected in the general election on November 6,2018,winning 52 percent of the vote over 48 percent of Republican candidate Jim Lutz and Green candidate Austin Bashore. [3] She defeated Jim Lutz 21,027 votes to 19,377. [1] She cited her "passion for Title V funding for children’s chronic health issues" as her reason for running for office. [4] She was officially sworn in as a state representative representing Portage County's 75th district on January 7,2019. [1] Clites ran for re-election,but was defeated by Republican candidate Gail Pavliga on November 3,2020. [5]
District 75 includes Brady Lake,Kent,Mogadore,Ravenna,Streetsboro,Sugar Bush Knolls,Tallmadge,as well as Atwater,Brimfield,Charlestown,Deerfield,Edinburg,Franklin,Palmyra,Paris,Randolph,Ravenna,Rootstown,and Suffield Townships in Portage County.
In April 2019,she was a supporter of the Ohio Equal Pay Act along with Stephanie Howse. [6] Clites serves on the following committees:Agriculture and Rural Development,Aging and Long Term Care,and Health. [7]

Portage County is a county in the U.S. state of Ohio. As of the 2020 census,the population was 161,791. Located in Northeast Ohio,Portage County is part of the Akron Metropolitan Statistical Area,which is also included in the Cleveland–Akron–Canton Combined Statistical Area. Its county seat is Ravenna and its largest city is Kent. The county,named for the portage between the Cuyahoga and Tuscarawas rivers,was created in 1807 and formally organized in 1808. Anne Meagher Northup is an American Republican politician and educator from the Commonwealth of Kentucky. From 1997 to 2007,she represented the Louisville-centered 3rd congressional district of Kentucky in the United States House of Representatives,where she served on the powerful House Appropriations Committee. She lost reelection to Democrat John Yarmuth in the 2006 election. She then ran for Governor of Kentucky,losing by 15 points to embattled governor Ernie Fletcher in the Republican primary election for the 2007 Kentucky gubernatorial election. Prior to her election to the United States House of Representatives,Northup had served in the Kentucky House of Representatives. Northup ran again for her old congressional seat in the 2008 election,losing again to Yarmuth.
