Ranmore Etholson John Martinesz (born 24 June 1967) is a Sri Lankan umpire and a former first-class cricketer. Martinesz played first-class cricket for the Sebastianites Cricket and Athletic Club. His career was short,with him making just four first-class appearances. [1]
Martinesz has proved himself an umpire worthy of being recognized at international level and be included in the ICC's International Panel of Umpires in the near future. For the past three years he has officiated as third umpire in Test matches and ODIs. His most important assignment was umpiring the Euro Asia Cup one-day final between India and Pakistan at Abu Dhabi in front of a crowd of 50,000. Apart from that he has officiated Intercontinental matches at Nepal and in 2003 umpired matches in Bangladesh's domestic tournament. Martinesz was forced to take up umpiring due to a persistent back injury which cut short his career as a cricketer. A fast bowling all-rounder he had a distinguished career at St. Peter's College finishing as runner-up best bowler in 1985 and then being selected to play for Sri Lanka Under 19 against Australia under 19 in 1985 and for Sri Lanka under 23 against Pakistan under 23 in 1987/88. He represented SSC,Negombo CC and Sebastianites in the Premier tournament before eventually retiring from the game in 1994. He took up umpiring in 1996 and was promoted to the Premier division in 2000. [2]
He was selected as one of the twenty umpires to stand in matches during the 2015 Cricket World Cup. [3] In January 2018,he was named as one of the seventeen on-field umpires for the 2018 Under-19 Cricket World Cup. [4]

He captained the Sri Lanka national cricket team in all three formats and widely regarded as one of the greatest wicket-keeper-batsmen ever and the 2nd highest run scorer of all time. Sangakkara was officially rated in the top three current batsmen in the world in all three formats of the game at various stages of his career. He is the current coach of Rajasthan Royals IPL team. Sangakkara scored 28,016 runs in international cricket across all formats in a career that spanned 15 years. At retirement,he was the second-highest run-scorer in ODI cricket,next only to Sachin Tendulkar,and the sixth-highest run scorer in Test cricket. Sangakkara's 134 not out against England in the 2013 ICC Champions Trophy is the current high score made by a Sri Lankan at any tournaments.
Denagamage Praboth Mahela de Silva Jayawardene is a former Sri Lankan cricketer who is the current consultant coach of the Sri Lanka National Cricket Team and the Head Coach of the Indian Premier League franchise Mumbai Indians. He is the most successful captain for Sri Lanka along with Sanath Jayasuriya. During the time of his captaincy he was known for his tactical acumen,and was rewarded for following his captaincy instincts. As captain,Jayawardene led his national team to be the winners of the 2008 Asia Cup. Jayawardene made history as he was the first Sri Lankan in the history of the ICC Men's T20 World Cup to score a century which he did with his 100 runs against Zimbabwe in the 2010 tournament.
Rudolf Eric Koertzen was a South African international cricket umpire. A cricket enthusiast since his youth,he played league cricket while working as a clerk for South African Railways. He began umpiring in 1981,before becoming a full-time official eleven years later. In an international career spanning 18 years,he officiated in a record 331 matches and is only behind Aleem Dar in officiating as an umpire in most international matches.
Aleem Dar PP is a Pakistani cricket umpire and former cricketer. He is a member of the Elite Panel of ICC Umpires. He won the David Shepherd Trophy three years in a row from 2009 to 2011,after being nominated twice in 2005 and 2006. Aleem Dar,Marais Erasmus,Richard Kettleborough,Kumar Dharmasena and Simon Taufel were the only umpires to have received the award from its inception until 2017. Before becoming an umpire,he played first-class cricket as a right-handed batsman and a leg-break bowler for Allied Bank,Gujranwala,Lahore and Pakistan Railways.
Paul Ronald Reiffel is an Australian former cricketer who played in 35 Tests and 92 One Day Internationals (ODIs) from 1992 to 1999. He was part of Australia's victorious 1999 World Cup team. After retirement he became a first-class cricket umpire. He is currently a member of the Elite Panel of ICC Umpires. Reiffel was a part of the Australian team that won the 1999 Cricket World Cup.
Ian James Gould is an English former first-class cricketer and a former member of the ICC Elite Panel of cricket umpires. He previously also served as the chairman of English football club Burnham FC. In April 2019,Gould announced that he would retire as an umpire following the 2019 Cricket World Cup. On 6 July 2019,Gould retired from umpiring,after standing in the World Cup match between India and Sri Lanka. However,he has since umpired in matches in the 2020 Under-19 Cricket World Cup.
Deshabandu Handunnettige Deepthi Priyantha Kumar Dharmasena,popularly as Kumar Dharmasena,is a Sri Lankan cricket umpire and former international cricketer. He is a member of the ICC Elite Panel Umpires and the first and only person to represent an ICC Cricket World Cup final both as a player and an umpire,as he was a member of the Sri Lankan side that won the 1996 Cricket World Cup. He was a right-handed batsman and a right-arm off break bowler.
Rodney James Tucker is an Australian cricket umpire,member of the ICC Elite Umpire Panel and officiates in international Tests,ODIs and T20Is. He was a cricketer who played briefly for New South Wales from 1985/86 to 1987/88,before moving to Tasmania where he played from 1987/88 to 1998/99. He was also vice-captain of Tasmania from 1991/92 until 1995/96. He briefly played as Captain/Coach for the Canberra Comets in the 1999/2000 season before retiring from cricket as a player.

He was a left-handed top order batsman and occasional right-arm medium pace bowler. He attended Worksop College and was a member of the college cricket XI for a number of years.
