Rarities is the third compilation album by UK-based pop-rock project Shakespears Sister, released in January 2012 exclusively through on digital format through their website. [1]
Rarities holds true to its title, consisting of rare and unreleased tracks, several exclusive to the album, even a cover of "Venus" by Bananarama, recorded by Siobhan Fahey as a backing track for live performances. Although described by the act as "an updated download package of The Red Room Sessions ", only two tracks from The Red Room Sessions are included on here.

Siobhan Máire Deirdre Fahey is an Irish singer and musician, whose vocal range is a light contralto. She was a founding member of the 1980s British girl group Bananarama, who had several top 10 hits including the US number one hit single "Venus". She later formed the Brit Award and Ivor Novello Award-winning musical act Shakespears Sister, who had a UK number one hit with the 1992 single "Stay". Fahey joined the other original members of Bananarama for a 2017 UK Tour, and later in 2018, a North America and European Tour.
Rarities, B-Sides and Slow, Sad Waltzes is an album by the Canadian alt-country band Cowboy Junkies, released in 1999. It was the band's first independent release after the end of their contract with Geffen Records. The album is a compendium of tracks that the band had recorded but not previously released on an album. Two tracks has been released earlier as B-sides on Cowboy Junkies' singles, "If You Gotta Go, Go Now" on "Southern Rain" and "Leaving Normal" on "Anniversary Song". It was released on both True North Records and Latent Recordings in Canada, and on Valley Records in the United States.

"Stay" is a song by UK-based pop act Shakespears Sister, released by London Records in January 1992 as the second single from their album Hormonally Yours. The single was a global hit, becoming the duo's first and only number-one single in numerous territories, including the UK, where it topped the UK Singles Chart for eight consecutive weeks and was the fourth-biggest-selling single of 1992. "Stay" also reached No. 1 in Sweden and in band member Siobhan Fahey's birthplace, Ireland, for six weeks, and it was a transatlantic hit, reaching No. 4 on both the US Billboard Hot 100 and the Canadian RPM Top Singles chart.

The second single from Hormonally Yours, "Stay" was the group's first and only number 1, staying at the top position for 8 weeks. Singles Party (1988–2019) is a compilation album from British pop-rock group Shakespears Sister, released on 19 July 2019. It features a remastered collection of all the singles released by the group and two new songs. A deluxe edition containing a second CD with remixes, rarities and previously unreleased material accompanied by a 48-page booklet with photos, new sleeve notes and lyrics will also be released the same day.
